Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Dear Andrastea,
My name is Patrick and I am pleased to welcome you today, using the above template with some initial tips intended to help new joiners find their way around the system as an editor. You seem to have picked up some good practices already, like leaving edit summaries and signing your posts (), and I hope you will become a regular contributor.
For now, I would suggest that you visit your User page (top left tab, next door to this Talk page tab), which is still appearing in red. As you will see when you get there, it currently says "Creating User:Andrastea" because you haven't actually created it yet; but all you need to do is simply enter some text (anything) and click the Save page button; your user page will then be created and appear in blue from then on. Once you've done that, you'll be able to personalize it to your heart's content later on, and you could look at any other editor's user page to see the many different ways of doing that.
In any case, I wish you well and hope you'll enjoy contributing some more to our encyclopedia!
With kind regards; Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook)09:53, 19 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
