Speedy deletion nomination of Haulmont

Draft:CUBA Platform; Conflict of interest matters

I moved this draft from user space to draft space in this dif. I could have nominated it for speedy deletion but chose to do that instead.

You are editing in collaboration with User:AndreyLednev and this is the second article related to Haulmont you are working on.

Both of you appear to have a conflict of interest with regard to Haulmont. I work on conflict of interest issues here in Wikipedia. I'm giving you notice of our Conflict of Interest guideline and Terms of Use, and will have some comments and requests for you below.

Comments and requests

Wikipedia is a widely-used reference work and managing conflict of interest is essential for ensuring the integrity of Wikipedia and retaining the public's trust in it. It is important that editors with a COI work with the community to manage their COI. Please note that there is no bar to being part of the Wikipedia community if you have a conflict of interest; there are just some things we ask you to do (and if you are paid, some things you need to do).

Per your linkedin profile, you work for Haulmont; you have a COI and are what we consider to be a "paid editor".

Management of COI in Wikipedia has two steps - disclosure and a form of peer review. In Wikipedia, the COI disclosure should go on the relevant article Talk page (which I already did for you), and on your user page (which is here: User:AndreyLednev). Something simple like "I and User:Aleksey.stukalov are employees of Haulmont, a software company that sells CUBA Platform." would be great - not promotional, just descriptive, so other WP editors are aware of your COI. Would you please take care of adding that to your User page?

The "peer review" piece may seem a bit strange to you at first, but if you think about it, it will make sense. In Wikipedia, editors can immediately publish their work, with no intervening publisher or standard peer review -- you can just create an article, click save, and viola there is a new article, and you can go into any article, make changes, click save, and done. No intermediary. What we ask editors who have a COI to do, is a) if you create an article, submit it through the WP:AFC process so it can be reviewed before it publishes. b) And if you want to change content in an existing article on a topic where you have a COI, we ask you to propose content on the Talk page for others to review and implement before it goes live, instead of doing it directly yourself. You can make the edit request easily - and provide notice to the community of your request - by using the "edit request" function as described in the conflict of interest guideline. I made that easy for you by adding a section to the beige box at the top of the Talk page of the CUBA draft - there is a link at "click here" in that section -- if you click that, the Wikipedia software will automatically format a section in which you can make your request.

Hello, @Jytdog Thank you for your explonation. I've added COI disclosure to my page and for sure agree to pass peer review. I will add submit tag once I imporve the article a little bit. Just one more question: will the article be fully declined if experts do not like it or they will make edits (or adivse edits) to fit into wiki format if it doesn't?

Thanks for making the dislcosure! About the article, you need to do a lot of work to improve it before it can be accepted. There is too much unsourced content in it, and too much detail. Please read WP:NOT to get a better sense of what WP is not. Please try to find independent (not written by Haumont) reliable sources and build the article based on what they say, not on what you know about the product. You have written it backwards, starting with what you know about the product. In Wikipedia we start with what independent, reliable sources say. (You may want to read WP:RS, the guideline that describes what a "relaible source" in Wikipedia is. Please note that Haulmont's website is considered a self-published source and is not independent - please do not rely on it too much. Finally, you may want to read the notabilty policy which defines whether a Wikipedia article can exist or not - it is here: WP:NOTABILITY. This short essay, WP:Golden rule summarizes that policy very well. Finally, WP:ORG is the guideline that applies the notability policy to companies and products... you may want to read those 3 a couple of times to make sure you understand them, as they are the standard against which your article will be judged, with regard to whether is can be accepted into Wikipedia.
