We work at Presto in Australia and we have a Presto company page up on Wikipedia located here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presto_(company)
We desperately need to go in and edit the information as it is all very old, our deadline is today. Unfortunately we have lost the log in to the account that created this page therefore we have created a new log in (AngePresto2015) and have attempted to go in and edit it from this account, however it is not letting us do this successfully.
Due to the amount of times we tried to edit it we have been blocked from the account AngePresto2015.
Would you be able to help us please?
- Various points:
- Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not an advertising medium.
- Encyclopedia articles should maintain a neutral point of view and should not be edited by people who have a conflict of interest.
- Anyone can edit any page--this is NOT "your" page and you do not own it, nor does anyone else. You were blocked because you repeatedly replaced well-sourced facts with pure ad copy, and ignored all warnings telling you not to do so.
- If the facts are out of date, suggest changes on the article's talk page, and back them up with properly-cited references from reliable sources and not your own marketing materials.
- Wikipedia doesn't care much about deadlines.
- Any questions? --Finngall talk 02:56, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
