Welcome!

Hello, Angela Yuriko Smith, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

One of your first contributions is to request an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

A page you create about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask me or anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! This is a template welcome with some tips, I'll look more into your specific details later. Fences&Windows 13:42, 19 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

I think you may have misunderstood me. I am not becoming a contributor (other than via PayPal during the drive). Someone else put a page up on my years ago but it was taken down for lack off attribution. I'd like to see if you won't put the page back up and I am happy to add the sources. I have nearly 20 books published now, ran my own newspaper for a year, have made the HWA Stoker recommendation list two years in a row and am currently a 2017 Elgin award nominee for my poetry chapbook, "In Favor of Pain." I just want to get the original page, put up by someone else, reinstated if possible. I'm asking you because you took it down for lack of sources. Thanks! 67.235.136.161 (talk) 15:31, 19 July 2017 (UTC)Angela Yuriko SmithReply

By "contributor", we don't mean those who donate money (though donations, of course, are always welcome) but those who contribute their time and effort and edit Wikipedia. Fences and windows has replied to your request on their user talk page; I agree with their assessment. Huon (talk) 21:40, 19 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
