Turkish Military History
editIs there a reason you're rearranging the articles for Turkish Military History?
There should be one main article, possibly a disambiguation page for other uses, and all redirects should point to the main article. -wizzard2k (C•T•D) 19:02, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- Rather than fork, since they're quite related, create a new section in the main article. Certainly it falls under the subject of Turkish military history, even if the content of the existing page doesn't match, it makes sense from the standpoint of a user who is trying to search for information. -wizzard2k (C•T•D) 19:06, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- What is the main article??? I believe Ottoman Empire is Turkish as Republic of Turkey is Turkish. A person who wants to read Turkish history should be directed (dub page) to all these articles, rather than creating an article that do not reflect the historical periods... You need to explain more. --Anglepush 19:09, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- All of the content you're trying to add in History of Turkish Armed Forces should be added to Turkish military history. Please do not redirect any page to a disambiguation page, as that's not desired. The disambiguation page should serve to differentiate different uses of the same name, not the same name referring to different time periods. If you want to add a different time period for a subject under the same or similar names, make a new section in the existing article Turkish military history. Does that make a little more sense? -wizzard2k (C•T•D) 19:12, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Do not erase the content in Turkish military history with the redirect to a disambiguation page
editI know it it not your intention to remove content, but look! [1]. With the redirect you're making, you're erasing all of this: [2] -wizzard2k (C•T•D) 19:15, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
Please!
editI beg you, stop changing things for a few minutes! Discuss your proposed changes. I came here because your changes showed up as vandalism, and I was about to revert them as such, when I noticed what you were trying to do! -wizzard2k (C•T•D) 19:39, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
New main article at Military history of Turkey
editI've merged the content from both articles, so feel free to rearrange any information, and change the layout etc. This article should now be the definitive source for any military history of Turkey. I've fixed all links to the previous pages and any redirects or links to the disambiguation page. Happy editing! -wizzard2k (C•T•D) 20:13, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
New lists
editI've got to caution you about creating new articles for lists like that. They're going to get deleted in a heartbeat. A list like List of treaties of naval collaboration of the Ottoman Empire just screams "delete me!" Its best to keep that information in the main article, long as it may be. -wizzard2k (C•T•D) 20:24, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- Let me explain further. Articles are not about being a 'story' so much, in fact, narrative voice should be avoided at all cost (see WP:TONE). Informations on how to make good lists is at WP:LIST, but generally lists that serve a single purpose with no explanatory meaning, value or citations are deleted as "listcruft". -wizzard2k (C•T•D) 20:34, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- I added the welcome banner at the top which contains some useful links. It helped me a lot when I started out! -wizzard2k (C•T•D) 20:37, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
Ottoman Empire
editI couldn't agree more with the comments you left in Ottoman Empire. Alas as you experienced yourself the article has several not-so-neutral protectors who think they WP:OWN both the article and the topic. Miskin 13:16, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Movings
editHi! Pls before movings of the text here at first discuss it at the talk page (I wrote there why we need shuch a quotation at the lead, you didnt answer)! The article is seems to be a full POV (its a absolute minority view on a crime) and your moving makes it less neutral. Andranikpasha 16:46, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
We're discussing the current text which contains POV. pls do not add some new. liberation movement surely is not nationalism. if you're not agree discuss your addings at talk and better put in the article after a consensus is achieved between us. thanks in advance! - Anglepush, please WP:AGF. You're comment on Andranikpasha's talkpage was both incivil and flamatory[3]. Calm, civilized discussions are better then the hostile ones. Regards. VartanM (talk) 22:01, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
