Hi, I have read your recent blog post with interest. Since it does not seem possible to leave a comment there without having an account from one of the listed services, allow me to mention here instead that such a "git-ification" of Wikipedia has been proposed quite a few times in recent years already (sometimes even resulting in actual running code). I have put together a list at User:HaeB/Timeline of distributed Wikipedia proposals.
