Recent edit to Slot machine
editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the Slot machine article, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. You may find our linking guidelines helpful in this regard. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! editPlease do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Casino. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. The fact that you altered an existing reference to link to a blog, rather than the actual source to which the reference still referred, suggests that you made this change in bad faith. Spaces after colons
editPlease don't add pointless spaces after colons in wiki markup as you did in recent edits such as here and here. See, for example, the guidelines H:IUI, WP:EIS, and H:CAT: all the examples in these guidelines show that a space is not used after the colon in such instances. - I've also had to revert several edits you've recently made, such as where you have changed the spellings of words contrary to our style guide (MOS:TIES) and in one case you even broke some of the functionality by adding an entirely unnecessary space, which a bot then had to come and fix. I appreciate you think you're helping, but a lot of your edits are causing unnecessary work for other editors to then fix. Please take more time and care to learn how our style guide and systems work before continuing. ninety:one (reply on my talk) 13:14, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
