MEDport
editBecause it qualifies as Wikipedia:Spam. You didn't explain why the company was important, but you did include a lot of non-neutral statements about how wonderful the company is. Deb (talk) 17:42, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

editHi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. MEDPort and Fit & Fresh
editThe articles are being deleted for two reasons: they contain advertising and they do not explain what is notable about the product/company. The fact that Fit & Fresh is the “fastest growing line in MEDport’s history” means nothing if MEDport is a non-notable company. The only evidence you've given for that is the number of patents and trademarks, and that information is not backed up with a reference. Words like "innovative" and "success" should be avoided; they tend to be subjective. If four different admins all thought the articles fell within the definition of "blatant advertising", is it likely they are all wrong? As well as reading Wikipedia:Spam again, you should read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest as I suspect there is one involved here. If the company and product really are notable, then sooner or later someone else will write a more neutral article on the subject. However, if you are determined to complete the article and don't want it to be deleted, you should produce a short article that emphasizes what is important about the company (eg. size of turnover) rather than what makes it "good" in your opinion, and back up hard facts with proper independent references. As for Fit and Fresh, unless the product is selling by the million, I'd just mention it in the article on the manufacturer and not try to create a separate article. - I'll be glad to help if I can. Deb (talk) 16:14, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- Hi. I'm sorry to say that your revised article doesn't look any better to me - I would still delete it as blatant advertising. You are still using subjective terms like "innovative" and you are still laying emphasis on what is "good" about the company rather than what is "notable". Sure, you have added references, but you haven't followed the NPOV guidelines. I would cut it down a lot if I were you. Deb (talk) 17:12, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry for delay in replying. Yes, that does look a lot better and I would not expect it to be nominated for deletion. Deb (talk) 11:48, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
