edit

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Kajsa Ekis Ekman does not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Dr.Pinsky (talk) 17:13, 30 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

User AnnikaCarina is repeatedly posting unsourced claims on the page of Kajsa Ekis Ekman. Biographies of living people should adher to certain standards: "Articles should document in a non-partisan manner what reliable secondary sources have published about the subjects, and in some circumstances what the subjects have published about themselves. Summarize how actions and achievements are characterized by reliable sources without giving undue weight to recent events. Do not label people with contentious labels, loaded language, or terms that lack precision, unless a person is commonly described that way in reliable sources. Instead use clear, direct language and let facts alone do the talking." Please read the instructions on biographies of living persons carefully. Guccibelucci (talk) 08:25, 20 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

edit

Your recent editing history at Kajsa Ekis Ekman shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Morbidthoughts (talk) 18:19, 20 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing from certain pages (Kajsa Ekis Ekman) for a period of 1 week for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Primefac (talk) 07:53, 21 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

Hello, AnnikaCarina. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Kajsa Ekis Ekman, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Do you have any personal or professional connection to this person or is she just someone you don't like? Morbidthoughts (talk) 20:35, 14 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Nope, I have no connection of any kind to this person and only know of her from the media coverage, unlike some editors treating this article as her personal website, which I and others[1] have criticized. Are you going to ask all those accounts claiming to know her private views and adding lengthy quotes of praise and otherwise engaging in whitewashing and promotional efforts about whether they have a conflict of interest as well? She is very well-known and controversial in Sweden, whether I "like" her is not really the point. The point is that the article must be objective. --AnnikaCarina (talk) 10:45, 15 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

I asked you specifically because you identified yourself as a feminist writer. I do not know how large of a professional circle this is in Sweden. You were also previously blocked for edit warring. I reviewed your edits to her article the past year and what you believe as "objective" did not comply with our WP:BLP policies as several edits were not directly supported by the given sources or were the result of synthesis. Morbidthoughts (talk) 18:39, 15 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry, but you have to be far more specific about which material in the current version that you disagree with, preferably by participating in the content-focused discussion on the article's talk page. Unsubstantiated claims that sources (Expressen) are not reliable are not sufficient. The only argument you have offered is your disagreement with the use of the newspaper Expressen as a source. The newspaper Expressen is regarded as generally reliable in Sweden, it seems that it's widely used as a source on Wikipedia (Swedish and English), and it's not included on the list of prohibited sources.[2] Its reliability is specifically addressed on the talk page[3], where there is ongoing discussion of sources and possible improvements. Currently, as a result of the edit war between other editors than me -- i.e. between the previously blocked editor who claims to know her private views and whose edits are entirely unsourced and often included patently untrue statements and embellishments, and three or four accounts that appeared only to support them in that edit war, against three or four other established editors (not me, who stepped back early to focus on discussion instead), the article is protected. In my view the article is generally accurate, fair and reasonable, but there is always room for discussing the exact ways to phrase material or other improvements. Also, I have described myself as a feminist in the sense of being a regular grassroots feminist in my hometown, and as someone who tries to make a living in some writing-related field (actually children's literature). There are millions of feminists in Sweden. --AnnikaCarina (talk) 19:12, 15 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Women in Red 8th Anniversary

edit
  Women in Red 8th Anniversary
In July 2015 around 15.5% of the English Wikipedia's biographies were about women. As of July 2023, 19.61% of the English Wikipedia's biographies are about women. That's a lot of biographies created in the effort to close the gender gap. Happy 8th Anniversary! Join us for some virtual cake and add comments or memories and please keep on editing to close the gap!

Single purpose?

edit

Hello. I did read your replies to the COI query from last year, but in all honesty, your account comes across as a single purpose account created specifically to target the Kajsa Ekis Ekman article. While I see you have denied a conflict of interest, and I admire your determination to combat what appear to be single-purpose sockuppets on the article talk page, nevertheless I am curious about this focus in your editing.
