Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:OnPath Testing

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:OnPath Testing, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. -- Sam Sailor Talk! 18:59, 18 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Annofbigbeach , In response to your comment/the content of that page: Wikipedia has almost 5 million pages and a great many (if not most ) do not comply with the content policies. However, pointing out that another page does not comply is a worthless argument in attempting to establish that a particular page under discussion should also be left to linger in a state of non-compliance. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 15:08, 19 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Comments and requests

Wikipedia is a widely-used reference work and managing conflict of interest is essential for ensuring the integrity of Wikipedia and retaining the public's trust in it. As in academia, COI is managed here in two steps - disclosure and a form of peer review. Please note that there is no bar to being part of the Wikipedia community if you have a conflict of interest; there are just some things we ask you to do (and if you are paid, some things you need to do).

Disclosure is the most important, and first, step. While I am not asking you to disclose your identity (anonymity is strictly protecting by out WP:OUTING policy) would you please disclose if you have some connection with OnPath Testing? You can answer how ever you wish (giving personally identifying information or not), but if there is a connection with OnPath Testing, please disclose it. After you respond (and you can just reply below), perhaps we can talk a bit about editing Wikipedia, to give you some more orientation to how this place works. You can reply here - I am watching this page. Brianhe (talk) 09:41, 19 November 2015 (UTC) Brianhe (talk) 09:41, 19 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

I don't understand why you chose not to just continue editing the OnPath draft, but actually resubmitted the AfC after receiving this notice. Since you have not communicated, I have no choice now but to bring this to the attention of the Conflict of interest noticeboard. – Brianhe (talk) 11:25, 19 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or self-promoting in violation of the conflict of interest and notability guidelines. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  SmartSE (talk) 17:45, 19 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Hello! The reason I would like you to unblock this article is that it is meant to show the high-technology trend of offshore outsourcing being used by many Western-based, high-technology companies - in both Europe and North and South America! This company (onPath Testing) offers quality assurance and software testing services for mobile and website apps being developed by startups. The company is managed on-shore, but uses outsourced, offshore professionals who work remotely. I think this company is part of a growing "cottage-industry" trend of offering professional services while working remotely from anywhere in the world. Annofbigbeach (talk) 14:54, 20 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

You're not going to be unblocked if you're just here to promote a company. OhNoitsJamie Talk 15:22, 20 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
