Purvis Young Exhibs.

edit

Hi! Thank you for your additions to the Purvis Young article, always excited to see editors filling in info for artists whose articles need some attention. I just wanted to flag, Wikipedia Manual of Style rules (MOS:Exhibitions) dictate that artist biographies should not contain overly extensive lists of an artist's exhibitions, either from their lifetime or after their death. I made that mistake a few times as a new editor and did a lot of work to find references and listings for all of an artist's exhibitions - the MOS rules mean that an artist should only really have up to five solo exhibitions listed, in prose form, in addition to their most notable group exhibitions (appearances in the Venice Biennale, Whitney Biennial, etc.). Just wanted you to know before you put in too much work gathering all that info and formatting it for the wikipage. A good example of the standard format (what most articles should look like) for exhibition lists is Jaune Quick-to-See Smith.

Happy editing, and thank you for contributing to arts on Wikipedia :) 19h00s (talk) 20:47, 29 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hope Barrett moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Hope Barrett, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 12:04, 21 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
