I don't know how any of this works yet, but I'll figure it out.

I think you already know - a trout notice on your first edit isn't a new-user act. Acroterion (talk) 01:12, 13 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Nope, I just clicked an option, didn't really know what trouting was, but my reason for doing so was good.

Revert again, and you'll be blocked. Discuss on the talkpage. Acroterion (talk) 01:16, 13 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
And stop accusing other editors of bad faith [1]. What did I say about using Talk:Pederasty instead of other users' talkpages? You seem to be able to find those well enough. Acroterion (talk) 01:25, 13 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Speaking of bad faith: saying things like "since you found those well enough" rather than explain to me how to find the article's talk page, so that you can get righteous in accusing me of lying to you. I don't know where the article's talk page is. all I see is user talk pages, which I told you. my own, yours, other users. Did I say something here to warrant being blocked? And yes I realize I'm being difficult. This is difficult.I was just trying to make simple, obviously justified edits. It's my fault for being ignorant of procedure. But I'm not trying to argue about how to use the website, I'm trying to understand why someone is reverting my edits without explanation. Id appreciate if you would explain to me how to find the articles talk page. If you don't want to, fine, but it isn't helping anyone.

Click the blue link I provided for you. Acroterion (talk) 01:36, 13 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
You were able to find MarnetteD's "trout this user" link (which I had to go looking for) and you can't start a talkpage discussion? Go to Talk:Pederasty and discuss your edits already. Acroterion (talk) 01:38, 13 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

thank you, I appreciate it. and yes, clicked on the tiny button at the end of a line which I figured might lead to some form of communication input, and was correct. i still don't know what the specific function of trouting is, beyond jokingly implying annoyance.

Your recent editing history at Pederasty shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Acroterion (talk) 01:11, 13 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

If nobody defends the reverts of my talk:pederasty edits or makes further disagreements, how would I go about pushing my edits?

Please start signing your edits (four tildes at the end of the post). Absolutely do not go about "pushing your edits," especially after you've edit-warred to do just that. You've gotten off to a really bad start in a sensitive topic, you need to tread carefully. Give it a couple of weeks and check back at the talkpage. Acroterion (talk) 13:53, 13 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Got it. Antifatalism (talk) 13:57, 13 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for learning to sign. Next, please indent successive responses with colons (yes, it's a clunky interface) to make the thread easier to follow. You've pretty much established your bona fides as a new user, by the way, by having trouble navigating WP's obsolete interface. Acroterion (talk) 14:08, 13 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

honestly not trolling

i made this account to justify two simple edits which i felt were important. i have zero experience with wikipedia. it, especially the communication apparatus, is complicated and new to me. Please don't accuse me of being insincere. Antifatalism (talk) 13:58, 13 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Trouting someone as a first edit, and following with a determined edit-war on a very sensitive topic without any attempt at discussion on the article's talkpage are big red flags to other editors. Accepting that you didn't understand the talkpage process (it's linked at the head of every single page on Wikipedia, which makes finding and using the little trout on a user talkpage but not finding the article talkpage link even more impressive) and that you were having a bad day in the wayfinding department, please give other editors time to review your suggestions and to respond to your concerns. Acroterion (talk) 06:32, 13 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for helping me with this, I understand your points and appreciate it. Antifatalism (talk) 13:58, 13 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
