AfD nomination of James Potter and the Hall of Elders' Crossing

edit

I have nominated James Potter and the Hall of Elders' Crossing, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/James Potter and the Hall of Elders' Crossing. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.   Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to World War I appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe our core policies. Thank you. Old Moonraker (talk) 08:42, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Lenerd (talk) 20:43, 20 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

your userpage

edit

I've reverted a load of vandalism from an anon IP address; do you have any idea why he/she would be posting "god help me" over and over? Not that their actions normally make sense

If you talk to an admin (I suggest User:Cenarium, he's very approachable and has always been nice to me) and ask them to semi-protect your userpage then IP addresses and new accounts wont be able to edit it. I'd advise that :). In addition, i'll be putting your userpage on my watchlist so that if there's an edit, i'll see it and revert it. Ironholds 15:39, 24 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Can I ask about your edit to the Spice Girls page? The band are still (unfortunately) around, and a capitalised letter after a full stop is proper punctuation. Ironholds 15:41, 24 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh, and your userpage has been semi-protected :). Didn't know whether you'd checked Cenarium's talk page or not; I used to miss a heck-load of important messages because I assumed they'd reply on mine. If you need any other help with anything, feel free to give me a poke :). Ironholds 23:13, 24 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Do not want

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Do not want. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Damian Yerrick (talk | stalk) 02:31, 31 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

I removed the text because the article appears to be vandalism. All it does is redirect to the "releases" segment of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, which makes no sense. As far as I can tell, it's some kind of bad joke by somebody who didn't like the movie. I was trying to figure out how to delete the article entirely but I couldn't figure out how. If there is a way to nominate the article for deletion, please show me. --Antodav2007 (talk) 02:35, 31 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Actually, reading the text of that segment of the article a bit closer I guess it does make sense, although that part of the article could easily qualify as trivia and should by itself be removed. Nevertheless, I'll let it stay. Sorry for the confusion.--Antodav2007 (talk) 02:42, 31 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Fair enough. You might want to have a look at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion to see how to propose an unwanted redirect for deletion. --Damian Yerrick (talk | stalk) 03:24, 31 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, will do. --Antodav2007 (talk) 03:36, 31 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

"Wallflower"

edit

Hi there! Your recent edit to the Fringe episode article "Wallflower" looked good, but unfortunately was not included the citation given. I reverted it. Please use reliable sources next time. I look forward to your continued constructive edits for the series. Always happy to meet a fellow fan! Regards, Ruby 2010/2013 00:48, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Any cultural references need a reliable source, regardless if it is quoted directly from the episode (otherwise it can be considered original research). Also, the way you put it in made it seem like the EW source was its citation, when it was not. Regards, Ruby 2010/2013 01:55, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
I was able to find a source in an A.V. Club review. Thanks, Ruby 2010/2013 02:14, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Super Mario Bros. 5

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Super Mario Bros. 5, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
