Thanks for your note. Hate to mention this, but I'm not convinced Lorrenzo Wade meets our notability requirement for articles about people, WP:BIO. In any event, you will need to cite your sources for the article. See Wikipedia:Citing sources. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 15:56, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Lorrenzo Wade

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Lorrenzo Wade, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Non-notable athlete. Does not satisfy WP:ATHLETE which requires play at the professional level or world championships. A collegiate player does not satisfy that. Although this person may someday play in the NBA, until he does, Wikipedia notability guidelines are not satisfied.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Proposed blackout in protest of RA 10175

Dear Antoine Cason,

Greetings!

As a Filipino Wikipedian, I hope you are aware of the passage of Republic Act No. 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, which was signed into law by President Benigno Aquino III on September 12, 2012. Currently, there is a discussion on the Tambayan, the noticeboard for Philippines-related topics, about a proposed blackout of the English Wikipedia in the Philippines in order to protest the passage of RA 10175, similar to the blackout against SOPA and PIPA held earlier this year. I feel that your input on the subject will definitely help in the discussion.

Please feel free to participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines#The Cybercrime Prevention Act, and I hope your input will help the Filipino Wikipedia community determine which is the best course of action against this law. Similarly, we hope to get as much input from as many Wikipedians as possible.
