I have restored the article, and pared it down to the relevant point. As a monkey, it falls under WP:PRIM, the Wikiproject devoted to primate articles. We follow Mammal Species of the World (3rd ed., 2005). If you desire, I can contact Colin Groves (as I have done so a few times in the past) to get any further clarification as to the species/subspecies taxa. For now, it stands as it is. - UtherSRG (talk) 11:59, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you for doing this. It seems that Groves should get together with Defler on this matter as Defler is actually living and working in the jungles where these and other primate species actually are. It would be nice for you to contact Groves and request that he clarify the situation with Defler, whose book was by Conservation International. --owl monkey guy 12:57, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- Email sent to Groves. He's reversed himself on other occasions, and upheld himself on others. (MSW3 was a bit rushed....) - UtherSRG (talk) 13:37, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you again.(P.S.: after a night of trying this Wiki editing out, I have become much better at understanding how the system works; sorry to have caused problems when I started) --owl monkey guy 14:25, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- Groves admits to overly lumping in his previous work with Aotus, and that Defler has convinced him that things are much more complicated. I've updated the article to reflect the monkey's full species status. - UtherSRG (talk) 10:58, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
