Mac OS X

edit

Alternate names for what is now uniformly called "Mac OS" are perhaps worth noting in the "Mac OS" article, they are not worth noting in the "Mac OS X" article.

Please note that the Unix and Unix-like articles don't use all caps. If you think this is a mistake, please firstly read the Unix article to see why it is not using all caps, then suggest a move on the Talk page.

Also, if you don't want the Macintosh System Software article deleted, please read WP:ATT and cite some reliable sources. AlistairMcMillan 16:46, 19 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

What he said. It's not helpful to change just one article to be inconsistent with a hundred others; if a change is the right thing to do, then it's right to change all of them together. Stan 22:29, 19 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please look at the other headings on the article you cited. "DOS-Windows Software", "Printing Software", "Powerbook Software" etc. I'm assuming you see a pattern here. AlistairMcMillan 20:36, 6 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

There is no ongoing debate. The article is titled "Unix", so the link is "Unix". Please read the "Unix" article. If you think the article should be titled "UNIX", then go suggest that on the "Unix" talk page. But just to let you know, people have discussed it ad nauseum already and the conclusion was "Unix", not "UNIX". AlistairMcMillan 13:45, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Please read our Unix article. The article explains the difference between "Unix" and "UNIX". If you think every instance of "Unix" should be replaced with "UNIX" then propose that on the "Unix" talk page.
If you discuss this issue with me without reading the article then I'll have to assume that your goal here is just to troll. AlistairMcMillan 19:21, 12 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please don't change a link that points to an article to point to a redirect. AlistairMcMillan 19:29, 12 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:PPT1.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:PPT1.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:00, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Sarnia Skała moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Sarnia Skała, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
