Question about edit summary

edit

Hi -- do I need to fill out edit summary for a post on the talk page, as a prelude to enacting an edit? Thanks.Aprilkissel (talk) 20:03, 24 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

April, You needn't ask in a talk page if an edit is okay, unless it is a highly controversial edit or if there is already a discussion in the talk page about the edit you're planning. You are encouraged to be bold. Go ahead, make the edit. Edit summaries are always helpful (also refer to the edit summary legend to learn some shorthand). Sincerely, Kingturtle (talk) 20:21, 24 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

SPI case

edit

You have been accused of sockpuppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the notes for the suspect, then respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/EmilEikS. Thank you. Synergy 23:38, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
