Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. [1] [2] MER-C 10:22, 9 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Look, you make no attempt to vary the URL per article, hence the links you have added are only tangentially related to the article content. Most of your contributions add links to this site, and you are systematically going through the "best places in England" list on liveanddo.co.uk. I suggest you cease adding links to this site, otherwise there will be consequences. MER-C 10:41, 9 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Okay. Thank you for this. Is the issue therefore that it is not adding directly to the actual place page e.g. Putney, rather than the homepage. In honesty this was done for ease but am happy to make the change to the specific place if that would make the difference. Please let me know. Otherwise, I cannot see the difference between this and the addition of other pages e.g. IMD.
