Editwarring at Aquatic ape hypothesis

edit

Hi, and welcome to wikipedia. You are engaged in editwarring at Aquatic ape hypothesis. This is not allowed (see the policy on reverting and editwarring). When someone removes material you have added, you need to start a discussion at the talkpage to build consensus for inclusion. Nothing can be added in absence of consensus. If you continue reverting and reinserting the material you will likely be blocked form editing. Use the talk page to discuss and give your reasons for why you think the material should be included.·maunus · snunɐɯ· 16:26, 16 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Aquatic ape hypothesis are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic or unrelated topics. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. In other words, your last post to the talk page was simply arguing about the subject and thus inappropriate. If you have academic sources making the same points, then bring them to the talk page. You're new and a lot of new editors see talk pages as a general forum for the subject, so no problem. Dougweller (talk) 19:53, 24 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi Dougweller, thanks for the heads up. I'm not sure which section you mean, do you mean the part where I replied to the skateboard rebuttal? Since i was replying to others, doesn't tthat mean that the people who originally posted about the skateboarding comment are also not keeping to discussion about improving the article?

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at WP:ANI#Harrassment by user:9SGjOSfyHJaQVsEmy9NS, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. I've added {{unsigned}} with your information just letting you know. Happy editing! --Cameron11598 (Talk) 19:00, 27 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
