editThis account has been blocked indefinitely as a sockpuppet that was created to violate Wikipedia policy. Note that using multiple accounts is allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not, and that all edits made while evading a block or ban may be reverted or deleted. If this account is not a sockpuppet, and you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}} below. Request reason:
I'm not a sock puppet, this is my first Wikipedia account and I am editing a singular page about the music scene in my hometown. I can offer proof/evidence in whatever way is accepted. Perhaps this triggered because a friend and I were working on the page at the same time? You can clearly tell we have two different IP addresses and browsers and are in fact geographically separated. Decline reason:
That is what we call meat puppetry, regardless of your physical location- especially when not declared beforehand. Otherwise you appear to be creating the illusion that you are two different people. 331dot (talk) 23:04, 24 July 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- Ok. Lesson learned and rules re-read much closer this time. Can you please unblock my account so I can edit again? If not what are my options, creating a new account? Archivisty (talk) 11:00, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
- The only option is to convince an administrator that you understand the rule -- not just saying you do -- and that the behavior or similar behavior will not repeat in the future. That you suggest creating a new account is an option, which is sockpuppetry, suggests that you're still unsure what the rules are. If a user is blocked, it's not just that account that's blocked, but on any account, on any PC, anywhere in the world, for any reason. You ought to read WP:GAB for more information on what a successful return to editing might entail. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 14:01, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
- Alright, Im not going to all that trouble for editing a single page. Just delete my account I guess. Not worth the hassle. For posterity this was literally two different people working together (over Zoom) on a project and was my first, and apparently last attempt to add or edit a Wikipedia page. - Accounts cannot be deleted.--Bbb23 (talk) 14:51, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
