editHi Ardalazzagal! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
Greenland and the Nordic Passport union
editThe Nordic passport union means that Nordic citizens can freely reside in the member areas, and can use a driving licence (for example) to travel between them.
The source I linked clearly states Greenland is part of this (while it doesn't use the term "Nordic passport union", it does say Nordic citizens can freely reside there)
As for your source, it makes absolutely no sense. Although Greenland technically does not belong to the Schengen Area, flights to there leave from Schengen gates both in Denmark and Iceland, so only the airlines do ID checks, if anyone at all. And Air Greenland, which flies to Iceland, clearly states a driving licence is enough to fly with them in general, not just between Denmark and Greenland.
Furthermore, Greenlanders are Danish (i.e. Nordic) citizens and thus, in accordance with the passport union (because I think we can agree 100% that Iceland is part of it), can use any Nordic ID (a Greenlandic driving licence being one) to freely reside in any Nordic country. - Your source says that Nordic citizens can live in Greenland and don't need a passport to travel there, but it doesn't say that Greenlanders can travel to Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Finland without a passport. Nordic citizens have apparently had the right to live in Greenland since 1992, yet in 1996, Greenland was still not part of the Nordic Passport Union: [1]. If Greenland has joined the passport union, it must have done so in 1996 or later, yet I can find nothing on the web about Greenland joining. Ardalazzagal (talk) 12:19, 16 August 2016 (UTC)

editYou appear to be the only person who thinks this is worth including. Per WP:ONUS, your job now, assuming you still wish it to be kept, is to convince other editors that there is a need for it. If you would like some advice, belittling other editors in the discussion and in edit summaries is unlikely to win you the argument. --John (talk) 13:51, 21 August 2016 (UTC)
