Hello Arielo! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Walter McGowan was not the WBC titleholder.

edit

Hello.

Walter McGowan was not the WBC titleholder.

Because, Salvatore Burruni was stripped of not only WBA title, but also WBC title, in November 1965.

The Guardian, newspaper of United Kingdom, page 10, in the Saturday November 20 1965 issue

"Sports news in brief

Boxing

The World Boxing Council has withdrawn its recognition of Salvatore Burruni, of Italy, as world flyweight champion and authorised a match between Horacio Accavallo (Argentina) and Ebihara Hiroyuki (Japan) for the title. The council said it acted after Burruni ignored its recommendations and insisted on a title defence against Rocky Gattelari, of Australia."

And, "Burruni vs. McGowan" was not authorized by the WBC.

The Guardian, newspaper of United Kingdom, page 10, in the Wednesday June 15 1966 issue

"Not recognized

Mr L. Spota, the president of the World Boxing Council, said in Mexico City that the WBC did not recognise last night's fight between McGowan and Burruni as the world flyweight championship. The WBC disqualified Burruni as champion last November when he failed to meet its timelimit for giving Hiroyuki Ebihara (Japan) a chance for the title. Spota said Horacio Accavallo (Argentina) was the only world flyweight champion recognised by the Council, having won the title against Katsuyoshi Takayama (Japan) in a bout ordered by the WBC to choose a new champion."

Fininho (futsal player) moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Fininho (futsal player). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Boleyn (talk) 19:50, 4 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
