82nd Sustainment Brigade

Hello. I just wanted to say thanks for updating the 82nd Sustainment Brigade page. Sorry it was reverted in the first place; the page happens to be one of my projects and I'm trying to maintain its quality by making sure all the information on the page is sourced and unless I find a new verifiable source for something I leave it out. -Ed!^(talk)_{(Hall of Fame)} 18:27, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
No, thank you Ed! I am the brigade journalist for the 82nd SB, and you have done a wonderful job for us! I am in the process of figuring out how to enter the citations. As you can see, I added the reference for our transformation to Corps and addition of the 507th downtrace battalions to our ranks. I am trying to hone my ability to contribute effectively in an organized and aesthetically pleasing way. • Bullet points are just the asterisk. As for links to other wikipedia articles, they go like [[this]], unless the page has something in parentheses, where you get something like [[This (qualifier)|this]] so the link shows up as "This". Also, external links go [http://likethis.com Like This] Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • ^{(Many otters • One hammer • HELP)} 23:05, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Hi! Use asterisks for bullet points, like as follows:

* Item 1
* Item 2
* Item 3
** Item 3.1

That should produce something that looks like this:

• Item 1
• Item 2
• Item 3
  • Item 3.1

Use square brackets to create links. Use a double pair with the target page within to link within Wikipedia, and a single pair with the URL inside to link to outside Wikipedia, as follows:

• [[Main Page]] - produces a link to the main page: Main Page
  • [[Main Page|foo]] - produces a link to the main page, with the text "foo": foo (this is a "piped" link)
• [http://www.google.com] - produces a link to google: [1]
  • [http://www.google.com foo] - produces a link to google, with the text "foo" foo
  • http://www.google.com - links to google: http://www.google.com

For linking, see this. ResMar 23:06, 9 April 2009 (UTC) Regarding bulleted lists: just use the astrik *. Adding more then one indents if, for example:

• Astrik
  • Astrik astrik

Similar to using the ":" charecter for indents:

One indent

Two indent

And the # charecter for numbered lists:

1. List item 1
   1. List item two
