RSN Discussion
FYI, I opened a discussion at WP:RSN about Reaxxion, in case you'd like to comment there. — Strongjam (talk) 03:07, 25 December 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads-up. I just noticed it there as I was going to ask the question myself, but you beat me to it! :) Lithorien (talk) 03:10, 25 December 2015 (UTC)

- Er. Thank you for letting me know? Lithorien (talk) 00:27, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
- Everyone gets this. It's so that if/when you do something that violates the sanctions, you can't say you weren't aware of them.--Jorm (talk) 01:13, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
- Ah, understood. I was concerned for a minute that I did something majorly wrong and didn't realize it. Though I think I'm going to back out of editing controversial articles and try to find a field that I'm interested in that isn't already saturated with editors (like the Food-related stuff is) and edit those. I'd like to be constructive rather than combative. Lithorien (talk) 01:23, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
- As a lurker I must apologize for the way the GG article's current condition treats newcomers. The rabbit hole of GamerGate is not only confusing but uninteresting to those who don't enjoy watching shitshows and the like. I don't think anyone expected WP to be one of those, but at this point it's more sad than funny. Anyways, thanks for trying, good luck, and have a happy new year or whatever the kids call it these days. Sethyre (talk) 03:38, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
- No worries, and thank you. I wanted to try to break out of wikignoming, but apparently picked the entirely WRONG thing to do that with. Have a happy New Year yourself, and again, thanks! Lithorien (talk) 03:42, 28 December 2015 (UTC)

Appeal Speedy Deletion of ChimpChange LLC page
Hello Lithorien Lithorien (talk): I respectfully disagree with your decision to apply the Speedy Delete criteria to my article on ChimpChange LLC. Unfortunately, since you applied the Speedy Delete on Christmas Day when I was away from my computer, I did not have a chance to use the "Contest this speedy deletion" feature before the article was removed. With edits, I would like to recreate this article, but not before running by you my reasoning for why this company is notable, and why my article was not "unambiguous advertising or promotion."
Regarding "notability", I believe the following points show ChimpChange to be an entity worthy of inclusion: ChimpChange is an app with over 100,000 downloads. It is poised to be listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). Investors will be interested to find - and, perhaps, add to, an article on ChimpChange. Similar companies, of varying sizes, have articles on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xoom_Corporation https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TransferWise https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remitly https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venmo https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Square,_Inc.
Regarding my article as being "unambiguous advertising or promotion", I would like to point out that I very consciously avoided hyperbole, intensifiers, or promotional language. You will find no adjectives like "unique", "easy", "quick", or even "cheap," or "safe." In one sentence describing its services, I did use the word "free," but is an unbiased description of the cost to users.
When I rewrite the article I will try to chose even more neutral language, present a larger context for its services - including the above list of competitors. I trust you'll find my adjustments satisfactory, and the article worthy of inclusion on these pages. - Thank you for coming by, ObAskin. Unfortunately, I can't really see where - in spite of popularity - your app is particularly notable using the guidelines of Wikipedia. This is NOT to say that the app is bad, or that it's not popular - it's only saying that I can't see the particular notability criteria that would allow inclusion into Wikipedia. That being said, you are always welcome to write up a draft in your user page, and I will be happy to look at it and suggest improvements or help you figure out if the article is good to be recreated. Happy Wikiediting! Lithorien (talk) 22:00, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
