Welcome and introduction

edit

Hi, Artizmm. This is NOT some automated message...it's from a real person. You can talk to me right now. Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed you've just joined, and wanted to give you a few tips to get you started. If you have any questions, please talk to us. The tips below should help you to get started. Best of luck!  Chzz  ►  04:56, 9 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

ようこそ
  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!

Your submission at Articles for creation

edit

Hi Artizmm,

You recently made a submission to Articles for Creation — the page is Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Sociorobotics — and it will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.

However... it doesn't seem to have correctly formatted references.

All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (newspaper, book, etc.) where the information can be checked.

If you put a reference like this:

Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref>

He likes tea.<ref> [http://www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com Tea website] </ref>
Video tutorial - hit play, then right-click for "full screen"

...then the reference will automatically be displayed as a small number[1], and the number will link to the details, wherever there is a {{reflist}} — there should be one of those in a section titled == References ==.

You can see that example in action on this page: user:chzz/demo/simpleref.

For more help, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners.

It is a very important policy of Wikipedia that all information is verifiable — i.e., that all material added to articles must be attributable to a source with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy.

Your submission will be reviewed as soon as possible, and we'll try to help with it, but it would help us a lot if you could add inline references.

If you need any other kind of help, just put {{helpme}} at the end of this page, followed by a question. Best,  Chzz  ►  04:56, 9 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Kevin Figes, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.swanagejazz.org/?p=1243.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. WikiProject Robotics

edit

Hi. I see you are listed as a member of the WikiProject Robotics project. Some of us are trying to assess who and how many of those Wikipedia editors who have signed on to the project in the pass seven years are still active, or would like to still be active, in the endeavor of improving Robotics-related articles on the English Wikipedia.

If you have the time and inclination, would appreciate it if you would weigh in on the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Robotics Talk page, or perhaps indicate current interest by your name on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Robotics/Participants page. If you are no longer interested in participating, please just remove your name from the Participants page. Cheers. N2e (talk) 05:32, 3 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
