Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button   or   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 19:36, 20 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Capitalization

edit

Please undo all of the piping you did on List of scandals in India to make the title of each scam have a capitalized letter starting each word. These aren't proper nouns, so only the first word of the phrase should be capitalized, just like the articles. In general, on a list article like this, we shouldn't be piping any of the links, because the list should cover the items in the same format that the article titles themselves are formatted. Help

edit

{{adminhelp}} There is an article Districts of India, please merge it with List of districts of India because the later topic is well explained. I tried to do it myself but didn't succeed. --Aryan wiki (talk) 21:04, 30 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

It is admittedly tough, but there are two good news. 1. The visual editor (What I see is what I get) is under development, now in the testing stage, and can be deployed soon. 2. You can always ask fellow editors for help: me, for example, or anybody else, or find an appropriate WikiProject, and its members will help you.

Moving articles

edit

I noticed that you moved the article Asok Kumar Ganguly eight times. It appears you did this to create redirects, please note that you don't need to repeatedly move the page. You can just create the page & then add #REDIRECT [[Asok Kumar Ganguly]] to it, which is much less disruptive. --Mrmatiko (talk) 07:28, 6 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Sandbox template moved

edit

Hi,

It appears you created a template at template:creation/sandbox. I have moved this template to your userspace at user:Aryan wiki/sandbox. You can edit it further from there, and link to it in a page by using {{user:Aryan wiki/sandbox}}. Thanks. 14:13, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

WikiProject India Tag & Assess 2012 Contest

edit

Hello friends, we are a number of editors from WikiProject India have got together to assess the many thousands of articles under the stewardship of the project, and we'd love to have you, a fellow member, join us. These articles require assessment, that is, the addition of a WikiProject template to the talk page of an article, assessing it for quality and importance and adding a few extra parameters to it.

As of March 11, 2012, 07:00 UTC, WikiProject India has 95,998 articles under its stewardship. Of these 13,980 articles are completely unassessed (both for class and importance) and another 42,415 articles are unassessed for importance only. Accordingly, a Tag & Assess 2012 drive-cum-contest has begun from March 01, 2012 to last till May 31, 2012.

If you are new to assessment, you can learn the minimum about how to evaluate from Part One of the Assessment Guide. Part Two of the Guide will help you learn to employ the full functionality of the talk page template, should you choose to do so.

You can sign up on the Tag & Assess page. There are a number of awards to be given in recognition of your efforts. Come & join us to take part in this exciting new venture. You'll learn more about India in this way.

Responded to your query

edit

I responded to your query on my talk page; just so you know, I moved it to the bottom of the page while doing so. New threads should be put at the bottom of talk pages (so that the page generally reads from old comments at the top to new comments at the bottom). Qwyrxian (talk) 07:38, 17 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your contributions

Thank you for your contributions to wikipedia. Just an additional thought: Pls have a look at wiki page for bofors and update it with any missing info, if possible: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bofors_scandal — Preceding unsigned comment added by Onkarr (talkcontribs) 20:10, 27 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your comments! Just a suggestion: you may spread the word about improving coverage this and other related articles to other wikipedian friends you may know, that would be great! Onkar 07:18, 29 April 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Onkarr (talkcontribs)

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
