Curious

Hey, you seem like a old wikipedian to me, and i'm going crazy trying to find out what do the green (with a +) and the red (with a -) numbers stand for in therecent changes area, right next to each article's name. do yo know? thank you in advanceYamanbaiia 20:10, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

I'd hardly call myself old. But yes, I do know. They're how many bytes have been taken away or added. If someone deletes a large section of text, the number will decrease (i.e., -603), if someone adds to a page, it'll increase (i.e., +603). A gray 0 means it stayed the same. Hope that helps. --Asklepios 20:15, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

old as in "older-and-wizer-than-me-in-wikipedia" kind of way. thank you for the answer.Yamanbaiia 20:22, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

You're welcome. If you have any other questions I'm sure myself or any other editor will be happy to help. --Asklepios 20:25, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Usurpation

You're quite welcome. I overlooked the fact that the redirect prevented your talk page from being automatically moved to the new name. All fixed now. — Dan | talk 23:13, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

I see that it is, thank you again then. --Asclepius Quid fit? 23:17, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Oooh hoo, one whole parenthesis. You're finally moving up in the world.

Seriously though, thanks. I doubt I would have ever caught that. And with this edit to my talk page, you now have an even 2 edits. I know you can't see me, but I'm clapping respectfully. --Asclepius Quid fit? 20:21, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

I was already aware of Coca-Cola's history, but yes, it is interesting stuff. --Asclepius Quid fit? 20:23, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

Really Paul? You want to discuss things on my public talk page? Something wrong with emailing me? There's even a link in the toolbox on the bottom left of this page if you're feeling lazy. --Asclepius Quid fit? 02:52, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Mass Effect

Hey. I noticed you're an editor on the Mass Effect page. I'm an admin at the Mass Effect wiki at Wikia, and I wanted to invite you to come check it out and share your knowledge. Cheers. - JoePlay —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.64.128.200 (talk) 21:05, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

Normandy

You said you saw my reference of Chris Chris L'Etoile, who you agree is one of the game designers, stating it is SR-1 Normandy. How about this Normandy_Mass Effect the picture listed has SR-1 on it. Where as in the x06 GamePlay Footage listed on the BioWare website. At 00:31 seconds it shows the Normandy with SSV on the outside. However, in the latest video the E3 Trailer it has been changed to SR-1. It depicts that in the background at 00:17 seconds and at 01:45-01:46 minutes.

Also in the latest batch of screenshots at BW's website. Here

Need anymore proof? I mean no offense, but if the word of one of THE game designers for Mass Effect cannot convince you, you'd have to email them yourself.m -- (Mrja84 22:38, 5 November 2007 (UTC))

Maybe I'm being misunderstood. SR-1 is a part of the Normandy's entire name. It's the Normandy's hull classification symbol. I thought Chris L'Etoile's comparison to Star Trek was very clear. USS is to SSV. Enterprise is to Normandy, and NCC-1701 is to SR-1.
I'm not saying that SR-1 has no place in the Normandy's name, just that saying SR-1 Normandy is like saying NCC-1701 Enterprise, which is technically incorrect. If we were saying the Normandy's full designation, it would be SSV Normandy (SR-1). Since SSV and SR-1 are both relevant to the Normandy, I'd expect both to be printed on it, and whichever is featured in any given video or picture is just because of that moment's point of view. --Asclepius Quid fit? 09:25, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

The Sovereign

Hey, I noticed you editing the Saren entry. Being that you know more about editing Wiki than I (and probably more knowledgeable in the Mass Effect lore), do you think I should've made The Sovereign linkable, despite the fact that the game hasn't come out yet and that The Sovereign itself has only been mentioned in the Mass Effect: Revelation novel? Light is fleeting. Darkness is eternal. 07:03, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Sorry it took so long to reply, I've been away from Wikipedia for a few days.
As to whether or not to make "The Sovereign" a link, you should consider whether enough information currently exists to start a new page on it (I actually don't know, I just started reading the novel). If there is, why not just start the new page yourself? --Asclepius Quid fit? 18:52, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
