Thanks so much! Emilie is actually quite well known as a rising star in the contemporary art world, which is the field where I work. I'm surprised that her article was rejected, because her work and life been covered multiple times in the New York Times, Art in America, and the Brooklyn Rail, which are all significant outlets for this field, and she's been written about by pretty high-profile writers (Emily Watlington and Cassie Packard, who both just got Rabkin awards, see https://www.rabkinfoundation.org/cassie-packard, https://www.rabkinfoundation.org/emily-watlington). She's even been on the Today show (https://www.today.com/video/meet-the-blind-artist-who-has-deeper-connection-with-art-after-accident-791768131835). I appreciate any help and really thank you for your warm welcome! Asf4000 (talk) 06:07, 30 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
