Group discussion
editHey guys! I am sure by the time you are reading this we have already discussed in class, but I was looking into options for a topic we could cover and one I found interesting was adult attachment disorder. I did a quick google search and found a few articles and websites talking about it. let me know what other options you have, or if you find any really good info about this topic! Ash16f (talk) 16:29, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
This sounds good to me! Should be a nice one to work on and it'll be cool to start a whole new wiki page for it. I remember and should have some documented information on it from some old textbooks I still have laying around. Nice find! Dylan.Bendix (talk) 00:56, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
Awesome Dylan, that will be really helpful. Ash16f (talk) 21:26, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
It also sounds good to me. Just after doing some googling I think adult attachment disorder sounds interesting, and there should definitely be enough info to start a page on it. Matthew.d.hofer (talk) 18:30, 17 September 2018 (UTC)
If for some reason we don't get this article, is there another you guys would be curious about? I was looking at some of the suggested stub articles and Phoebe Ellsworth caught my eye. I am still hoping to get the adult attachment disorder one, but if not she may be a good one too. let me know what you think! Ash16f (talk) 22:32, 17 September 2018 (UTC)
So I have started to do some research about adult attachment disorder. I did find a wiki page dedicated to attachment disorder in general. but that focuses more on children, especially young children. Since their is no page about adult attachment there isn't much we can critique at this point. I found one scientific article that talks about attachment in adults and covers surveys that have been done. it combines a lot of info from different papers, so I believe it would be a good secondary source. I will put the citation and link for the article below. I also found another article that is from a website called psychologenie. It seems to be accurate information, but I emailed them asking for their sources, so we can be sure that they are a reliable source. let me know what else you guys come up with!

The obvious problem for the adult attachment disorder wiki page is that there is no adult attachment disorder wiki page. After doing some research I found a coulple sources that should provide some good information. 1.https://www.fulsheartransition.com/our-program/treatment/adult-attachment-model/ 2. https://www.psychalive.org/change-attachment-style-better-life/ I posted those links above. Now for a couple questions for professor Council. 1. Without an ample amount of scholarly articles on this topic where would you suggest looking? 2. What would be some good ideas on finding examples for formating this brand new wiki page? Matthew.d.hofer (talk) 19:37, 2 October 2018 (UTC) I think that is a great idea. Also on the to do list should be finding some more reliable references than we already have. Like previously stated this may take some digging but needs to be done. Another idea I think we should look into is getting some real world accounts from people that have actually suffered from this dissorder. This may help us understand the disorder from a different perspective. Matthew.d.hofer (talk) 19:10, 11 October 2018 (UTC)
