There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. - TNT 💖 21:05, 5 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I am the Social Media Manager of Alert 360. I was unaware of a need to disclose my conflict prior to editing. I am not sure how to do that, even now. I would be happy to comply moving forward with any documentation you need. I have only ever edited Wikipedia on a non-professionally related basis before, and I did not think there would be an issue unless I was biased in my edits. I made sure to maintain a neutrality in my edits, only updating factual things and always using supporting sources to do so.

Decline reason:

Alert 360/ Central Security Group

I'm sorry, but I cannot unblock you at this time. Please read Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations.

The proposed new username is acceptable. However, the other elements of the block still need to be addressed. To be unblocked:

If you have no interest in editing Wikipedia beyond writing about Alert 360/ Central Security Group , then you will not be unblocked. If this is the case, I recommend you consider alternative outlets.

So we know understanding is mutual, please state your understanding/response to each item in your own words.

I'm sorry that this message could not be more favourable. {any other admin should feel free to modify these conditions or unblock at their discretion.}

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Please read WP:COI and WP:PAID for information on how to comply. Please also indicate what subjects you want to edit about; you won't be permitted to directly edit about Central Security Group/Alert 360(though edit requests will be permitted). 331dot (talk) 07:14, 6 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

I think due to your name and the two edits you made makes it appear that you are here for promotional reasons, but since you’re new here and unsure about how things work, I think it would be fair to give you a second chance. Foxnpichu (talk) 14:57, 8 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I should’ve made it clear that I’m not actually an admin, so I cannot legitimately decide whether you should be unblocked or not. I was just voicing my opinion. Sorry, I should have made myself a bit clearer. Foxnpichu (talk) 19:28, 9 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I definitely am the only person who uses this account. No one else has access nor do they have the password. I will only use the Edit Request on the talk page, should I have any further edits that pertain to the Alert 360 page. I promise to not use the edit template moving forward. I agree to the Terms of Use. I am a paid employee of Alert 360, but I am not receiving any type of added or special compensation for Wikipedia edits. As for what areas of Wikipedia I intend to edit in the future, I can't say with certainty. In the past, I have submitted edits to some country artists pages, including Chris Young and Clay Walker. I am an avid follower of pop culture, and will occasionally update pages based on news articles, etc. Is this acceptable? If there's anything further I need to add, please let me know, and I will be happy to do so.

Accept reason:

I'll accept the explanation about previous edits in good faith. As discussed above, this unblock is conditioned upon your agreement to comply fully with the paid contributor policy and to avoid directly editing articles related to Alert 360 and related entities (this includes competitors) – you may still submit requested edits. In Wikipedia lingo, this is a mainspace-only topic ban from Alert 360, broadly constructed. These conditions have indefinite duration and can be appealed to me or at WP:AN. Please let me or another editor know if you have any questions about this restriction or about editing more generally. Best, Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 03:47, 17 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi AshRae84. I am seeking input from the blocking administrator now. While I wait for a response, could you clarify what you mean by edits you have submitted in the past? Have you ever had any other Wikipedia account, or did you make the edits without logging in? Thank you, Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 02:31, 13 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
The blocking administrator has indicated that he has no objections to me unblocking this account, so I will be able to proceed with this as soon as this above question (about your previous edits) has been answered. All the best, Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 21:11, 16 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
Just being frank, if I had an account, I no longer have access to it nor do I have access to the email that would've been associated with it. I believe I made them without logging in though. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AshRae84 (talkcontribs)
