Asorg
Welcome!
editWelcome to Wikipedia, Assorg! I have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! Tommy2010 04:55, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
I have fixed your article as requested. Wikipedia doesn't typically have that much copy-editing for one article so if you could add more sources, it would drastically help. --Tommy2010 04:55, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
BLP policy
editHi Assorg, and thanks for your contributions.
Please be aware of Wikipedia's policy on writing about living persons. Any potentially controversial or negative claims about living persons must be cited to a reliable source, otherwise they are likely to be deleted immediately.

Recent comments at User talk:Tim Song and User talk:Baseball Bugs
editHi there. Regarding your recent comments at the above pages, you should be aware of the following points:
- Your views have been heard, both at these pages and at WP:ANI;
- Your continued arguing of this issue is not helping you achieve any of your goals; and
- This is not true. I stated that I was withdrawing by 06:15. This was acknowledged by Bugs Bunny a few minutes later, which I confirmed again at 06:26. Yet, 12 minutes later, you come to attack me. Please don't! Assorg (talk) 06:24, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- Not an attack; just heading you off at the pass before you did something you regret. Your last comment to Bugs was this, which appeared to be further hassment. In any case, thank you for taking some time to get some distance, regardless of why you did! - DustFormsWords (talk) 06:53, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

- Comparing people to Nazis is rude, may be seen as harassment, and is juvenile. More importantly, it's hugely insulting to the survivors of that period to suggest that ANYTHING happening on an online encyclopedia is remotely comparable to the very real horrors perpetrated by and during the Nazi regime of World War II.
I'd strongly suggest you take a deep breath, maybe do something offline for a while, and come back with a clear head ready to continue improving the project collaboratively. Thanks! - DustFormsWords (talk) 06:38, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
- In the ANI report, you state that a CU never made a decision on the matter. Right there, you are wrong. Check their block log, they were found, via CU, to be the sock of another indef'd user. If you won't, let me show you the diff: CU Brandon confirming the user is a sockpuppet.— Dædαlus Contribs 08:22, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
- And really, don't call other users Nazis. That is a direct personal attack and isn't allowed. Further, Bugs never insulted you, he was just saying the thread might blow up in your face. Stop taking everything so personally.— Dædαlus Contribs 08:29, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
- I did not call anyone a Nazi. What I said was that we should not be silent when we see something wrong. To do so would be like keeping silent when you see something wrong. Assorg (talk) 06:24, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- You quite clearly did when you said this, and later affirmed it by saying this. We have a policy here called WP:NPA. NPA stands for No Personal Attacks. Comparing anyone to hitler, and saying the Nazi would have won because of them, is a clear personal attack. I would advise against trying to WP:WIKILAWYER yourself out of this, and just admit it, and never do it again.— Dædαlus Contribs 06:59, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

- Rude or not, though, it is a great source of inspiration. It drove me to create a little essay: Wikipedia:Wikipedia is the Holocaust. If I hadn't heard this happen just one more time, I wouldn't have had it in me to write this. - Vianello (Talk) 22:39, 17 May 2010
- Thanks for chipping in and making your own contribution, by the way! I reformatted it a little to better fit the "flow" of the article, after another user said it seemed to weaken the conclusion a bit. If you're really averse to how it is now, you can change it back. Thanks for having a sense of humor - that's always a good thing. - Vianello (Talk) 19:22, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
Re: Your user ID
editSo just what does "Assorg" refer to? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 07:10, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hey, there are all kinds of possibilities for names. Just look at how creative they get with thoroughbred horses names, which are confined to 16 letters or some such. My user ID comes from a cartoon called Baseball Bugs and also refers to the types of articles I keep on my watch list: sports and cartoons. I recall once in Dilbert where they said they were running out of names to assign to their projects, and the best ones they could find were "phloegm" and "placenta". Ugh. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 02:58, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
Edit war
editHello. You appear to be involved in an edit war on Wikipedia:Do not disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point . While the three-revert rule is hard and fast, please be aware that you can be blocked for edit warring without making 3 reverts to an article in 24 hours. You are not entitled to 3 reverts and are expected to cooperatively engage other editors on talk pages rather than reverting their edits. Note that posting your thoughts on the talk page alone is not a license to continue reverting. You must reach consensus. Continued edit warring may cause you to be blocked. Toddst1 (talk) 03:26, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
This is not an edit war because I no longer edit there. You are attacking me because I made a comment about your block on ANI. Now you are hounding me. Please don't. I will withdraw my ANI comment. Asorg (talk) 03:27, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
