Speedy deletion of Zagreb Zoo

edit

A tag has been placed on Zagreb Zoo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Jolo Buki Original! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 4 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Miho Bošković - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Speedy deletion nomination of Križevci anchor of tigers

edit

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Križevci anchor of tigers, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article that does not provide sufficient context to identify its subject. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Edit-warring

edit

You have been editing-warring on multiple pages recently. Please discuss your proposed changes on the respective talk pages to find a consensus. Blind reverts will not be tolerated. — Andrwsc (talk · contribs) 22:55, 26 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have blocked you for 24 hours, because you continue to edit-war without any attempt at discussion. Please read WP:Consensus to understand how content disputes are resolved. — Andrwsc (talk · contribs) 23:14, 26 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Block extended since you immediately resumed edit-warring upon the expiry of the last one. You need to engage other editors in talkpage discussions to arrive at consensus, and the reliable sources we already have on those pages do not support your position. — Andrwsc (talk · contribs) 15:09, 28 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits

In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 14:54, 31 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Serbo-Croatian

edit

Hi Jolo. What you imagine to be four "different languages", is in fact merely one and the same language in 4 trivially differing variants, and is recognized as such by pretty much the entire world, sans the approval of national language committees of the petty Balkanic banana-countries "governing" them. --Ivan Štambuk (talk) 09:17, 9 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

List of languages by number of native speakers

edit

Please stop reverting List of languages by number of native speakers just to add your view. It is considered disruptive to revert corrections to an article in order to make some point, and may get you WP:blocked. Also, Wikipedia is based on references: if you want to say Croatian is closer to Bulgarian than it is to Serbian, you need WP:reliable sources. — kwami (talk) 23:20, 10 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Lastovo (town), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Romantic and Gothic. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

WP:NOTGALLERY, WP:GALLERY and multiple galleries containing only "your" images?

edit

Hi. I note in recent days that you have placed image galleries to Cork (city), Monkstown, County Cork and other articles. Each containing images exclusively taken by you and uploaded to Wikimedia Commons. You are likely already aware, but per WP:NOTGALLERY, Wikipedia is not intended to be a repository/mirror/outlet for all images already on Commons. And, per WP:GALLERY, images are "typically placed individually near the relevant text" and, where they are used, a gallery should not be used as "a tool to shoehorn images into an article" or "an indiscriminate collection of images of the article subject". In all frankness, I would suggest that you ask yourself (in all honesty and with self-reflection) why you are placing these "every image I took of this subject" galleries in these articles. And whether, in honesty, they actually improve the readers' understanding of the topic. Or whether, perhaps, you are doing it to provide additional visibility on "your images". All the best.
