I noticed the page had some good information, however I find it terribly cluttered to read. I think it's a worthy article however I did tag it for reorganization. The key to showing notability is finding sources that discuss the subject in some detail, i.e. do more than just mention him. I'd be happy to userfy the deleted content for you so that you have a base to work from, if you like, but it probably shouldn't be restored to the main article space without better sourcing. I agree that finding the right tone for such articles can be difficult. I suggest reading the essay WP:FORGET to get an idea of how to create an article on a subject that is important to you.
