Conflict of Interest

edit

Hello, AvoyellesCajun. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Adai Caddo Indians of Louisiana, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Yuchitown (talk) 14:41, 5 April 2024 (UTC)YuchitownReply

Thank you but none of the information or claims are relevant to me. I'm just a retired, private individual and volunteer contributor to wikipedia. Thank you. AvoyellesCajun (talk) 19:53, 5 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, AvoyellesCajun. Thank you for your work on Kisatchie Bayou. Nolabob, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

This is a worthwhile topic and merits publication even as a stub. Future expansion of the article might include something on the history of the bayou, commerce on the bayou or origin of the name.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Nolabob}}. Please remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Thanks for the tip! Much appreciated. I added quite a bit more detail to include the history and origin of the name as you suggested. AvoyellesCajun (talk) 00:46, 8 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Louisiana Genealogical and Historical Society, you may be blocked from editing. Multiple citations used were self published. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 04:44, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

I'm done debating your interpretation of self-published. The citations meet the Wikipedia guidelines. The authors are recognized experts in their field, have published dozens of books, speak at conferences and universities, and just because one is has an ownership interest in a publishing company is irrelevant. I own stock in Wal-mart. Does that mean I own Wal-mart? Besides, they do not meet Wikipedia's definition of promotional or advertising material as you claim either. I have no ties to these authors, the publishers, etc. This isn't the first time you have make false allegations against me or other Wikipedia contributors. Stop it. AvoyellesCajun (talk) 12:05, 23 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
We are not debating. This is a community and we have rules, please stop with attacking me and start listening to the community. I have not been the only user to leave you a note on your page. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 04:46, 24 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
I am not the only user to leave you a note on your page either. 47.189.34.40 (talk) 19:40, 26 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

PigeonChickenFish (talk) 16:52, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

PigeonChickenFish, you sure are editing a ton of my contributions, editing my articles, and now nominating my articles for deletion. You seem to edit just about all of my work very quickly after I post it and then argue with citations I provide from newspapers, law libraries, state laws, and federal agencies. This is in violation of Wikipedia policies. This is concerning me, and I am asking you to quit it. AvoyellesCajun (talk) 20:06, 26 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
I don’t know what you are referring too, but I am sorry if I have upset you. And which policy are you referring too? PigeonChickenFish (talk) 04:23, 27 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
The policy is harassment. Your history clearly shows you go to articles where I make contributions (articles you have never been to before), and then start undoing or modifying my contributions over and over again in violation of Wikipedia policies. You have also nominated for no reason articles I have created for deletion and provided no legitimate reason and claiming citations from the US Government, State filings and legislation, newspapers, books, and other valid sources are invalid because you disagree with the personally. All of these examples are clearly defined in Wikipedia's policies as violations. I will be filing a formal complaint. AvoyellesCajun (talk) 12:12, 11 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
