hi dr nick!
editSeems we have the same idol...
just as a kind of survey did you create thoracoscopy from the medicine portal? I wish there was a counter so we could see how many visitors it gets...
asbestos
editWould you mind checking asbestos and the law quickly to see that I made no error in the minor rephrasing I did of the definition of mesothelioma here? I am more familiar with mesothelioma as cancer of the mesothelial lining of the lungs, but see that the mesothelioma article def'n was more complete. Thanks!jgwlaw 03:03, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for checking it. My father died of mesothelioma (lung), so I have an interest in this, as you can imagine.jgwlaw 23:42, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
Threatening remarks
editThank you for your concern. Thankfully, it has been a long while since I've received any sort of death threats related to Wikipedia. If you wouldn't mind, please contact me via email regarding this matter. My address is posted on my userpage. Can't sleep, clown will eat me 07:08, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Lung cancer
editHello! Why did you include it in Version 0.5? Was it nominated? I can't find it. Please help, maybe I missed it somewhere. Or if you just passed it, then a {{V0.5}} template would be needed on the article's talk page. Thanks in advance. NCurse work 10:22, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks! In some weeks the battle for the new version will start, so I'll let you know when you can nominate it. :) Cheers. NCurse work 13:15, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
Methacholine moved to Metacholine
editI'm wondering about the basis for changing the article title Methacholine to Metacholine. Methacholine is the spelling used in both of the external resources linked in the article, and a quick Google test (I am mindful of the limitations of Google tests), shows the spelling "methacholine" to be about 20 times more common. PubMed concurs, showing the spelling "methacholine" to occur in 32 times as many entries. The MeSH controlled vocabulary spelling is "methacholine". What are the reasons for preferring the spelling "metacholine"? --Tabor 18:50, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your support
editI wasn't going to send thank-you cards, but the emotional impact of hitting WP:100 (and doing so unanimously!) changed my mind. So I appreciate your confidence in me at RFA, and hope you'll let me know if I can do anything for you in the future. Cheers! -- nae'blis 00:04, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

editThanks for the Barnstar. :) Seeing that you're a Dr. Nick fan, if you haven't seen it yet, you may be interested in the CMAJ analysis[1] that compares Dr. Nick with Dr. Hibbert-- Dr. Nick, of course, wins! Nephron T|C 02:56, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Re: Linux
editHi, Axl. I read your comment you placed on my userpage concerning the editing process of the Linux encyclopedia entry. I appreciate your message, but I must ask one question: Why me? How is my input any more important than somebody who has been working on the page, perhaps longer than I have been? I would be happy to help, but I am currently confused. Is this about the GNU/Linux versus Linux discussion I began earlier? If you would like me to completely and properly rewrite the Linux Wikipedia entry to become GNU/Linux, I would gladly do so, if it were not going to make me look like the bad guy. Where are we going with this? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dkrogers (talk • contribs) 22:02, 21 February 2007 (UTC).
Autoblock
edit- Autoblock should have expired. --pgk 19:17, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Re: Re: Linux
editThanks for coming to me, I guess, but I'm not interested in "improving" the "Linux" entry, unless it goes by the proper name. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dkrogers (talk • contribs) 02:43, 23 February 2007 (UTC).
Autoblocked again
edit- looks like another admin has already removed that autoblock. --pgk 19:02, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
RfA thanks
editThank you for supporting my RfA. It was (47/0/0) upon closure and now phase I is complete. I think the tools will aid both me and the encyclopedia. - No worries, sorry I didn't leave you a note earlier, that article tends to attract its share of vandalism for whatever reason. Can't sleep, clown will eat me 17:38, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

editThis morning, somewhat bleary-eyed from a late night, I fired up my computer to find a message awaiting me. "Bloody typical whinge from some vandal I suppose," I muttered to myself. And then there it was, a shiny barnstar. Thank you so much. Cheers Gillyweed 23:23, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
