This appears to be a paid PR generated account - it has no other contributions but an attempt to push a newly published book.
- This is absolutely not a paid PR generated account. I am an executive biographer who has spent years writing ~15 long-form biographies of executives, including an executive about whom I added factual information to Wikipedia (additionally ~40 shorter biographies of executives). Those are my credentials for the additions made. I received no pay whatsoever to add the information and did so in order to provide valuable information about the growth of a company whereby, on Wikipedia, the longtime CEO's name is missing (throughout the company write-up). The CEO led the company for 8 critical years as CEO (longer in other roles) and the fact that his name is missing entirely from the page renders it an incomplete page for purposes of learning about growth and leadership of the company. I attempted to make the page more complete and factual from a historical perspective so that future researchers will know the name of the CEO in place when the company developed new headquarters, went public, and more. I received no pay whatsoever to add the factual historical information I added and that was based on years of research and interviews. I did pull some information from an executive biography that I had a large part in as publisher, and I cited that biography, as I am a professional executive biographer. I did not attempt to push the newly published book that is referenced. I stated it was a source for information and per the rules of Wikipedia I cited it as a source of the information BKnowlesB (talk) 19:05, 30 May 2019 (UTC)
- No other content published by this newly created account (created just a few months ago) - furthermore, has spammy username "BKnowlesB" referencing Beyonce Knowles - instead of referencing real name or other works. Regardless, this is not a venue for commercial pitching of content (ie, whatever book you published two weeks ago). Clearly, motives are for-profit - this is not a place to pitch commercial endevours. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.199.54.115 (talk) 04:31, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
- The allegations, inferences, and implications are incorrect and not factual. Wikipedia instructs that one should not use one's precise name in creating the account, hence the use of initials and middle/maiden name. My maiden and now middle name is Knowles. My last name begins with the letter B. My first name, or rather nickname, begins with a B. I know virtually nothing about Beyonce Knowles and did not consider or know of her when I was born and given my last name or when I married and switched my last name to my middle name. This account is new; I have a different, longstanding Wikipedia account--I created a new account because my other account uses my actual name, which is what Wikipedia instructs against for those making edits etc. on Wikipedia. Drawing incorrect conclusions and making allegations as this anonymous/unsigned editor is doing is unfortunate.BKnowlesB (talk) 11:24, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
- claiming "real name" but no name referenced. could have used old, well established "real name account" but oddly didn't. Looks like spam... smells like spam... definitely spam. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.198.59.71 (talk) 21:42, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
