Great job so far! The lead section is nicely detailed and provides a good opening statement that is easy to follow. The structure of the article is clear and each subsection is well defined and organized. Well done writing in a neutral tone through out the entire article. All information is properly cited and appear to be from reliable sources. Few grammatical errors need to be addressed (missing an a in the first sentence of last paragraph). Perhaps some information of the difference between freshwater and saltwater acidification could be helpful to the reader. Overall, great article! Varelasara (talk) 23:33, 20 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

This user has chosen to contribute to the article Freshwater acidification. She has made an excellent choice in her article selection considering there is barely any information surrounding this topic. For the 'Overview' portion of your contribution, I feel that it is very well-spoken and adds a good amount of background and history to the subject that was previously lacking. Moreover, the current heading 'Causes' lacks scientific evidence therefore the sub-headings you are providing will add insight and knowledge on the exact reason for freshwater acidification. I especially found the Buffering & NOx and SOx sections to be very informative. My only suggestion would be to add another citation in the CO2 section because you only have 1 at the moment. After reading this article draft, I will work harder to ensure the information I am adding is scientifically accurate. Keep up the great work. Mieleveronica (talk) 17:25, 22 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

The article has a good title that is clear and simple, and the introduction to the article is for the most part well written and gives a good overview of the topic that will be addressed in the article. But, I feel like the last sentence of the introduction should be further expanded on as the threat of freshwater acidification to aquatic organisms explained at all. The tone and content of the article was well focused and nothing really distracting stood out to me. Many of the claims within the second half of the introduction also do not contain any references to back them up and those should be added to the article. The "Causes" section of the article is well written with significant claims being well cited and the information being a good brief overview of some of the causes of freshwater acidification. The "Harmful Effects on Aquatic Ecosystems" section is definitely very sparse in it's information as I think acidification will be a major factor in the future of freshwater ecosystems and should be addressed further in terms of its content and future impacts. The user has already made good changes to the article, but future improvements and expansions can definitely be made. Keep it up! Andrewlin1 (talk) 20:33, 22 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

The overview is really well written and clearly introduces the topic. It does a great job of summarizing the overall content without complicating any details. The sections clearly explain the causes for acidification and the information is sourced with reliable sources. The harmful effects on aquatic ecosystems could be expanded on more to highlight more species at risk (especially corals) however, for the purpose of this article this section sufficient. A whole other article could be written just on the biotic impacts. Overall really well written with no biases. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Coadm001 (talkcontribs) 21:12, 22 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
