License tagging for Image:Buffer memory.png

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Buffer memory.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 14:05, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:CDR_with_2nd_PLL_structure_n_variables.png

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:CDR_with_2nd_PLL_structure_n_variables.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:31, 22 August 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Shell babelfish 03:31, 22 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:CDRs_cascade_with_improved_tolerance.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Shell babelfish 03:32, 22 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome + a question about Clock recovery article

edit

Howdy, and welcome to wikipedia! You've added a substantial amount of text to Clock recovery and wondering where that text originated from. Eventually that article will need to be broken up into small sub-articles in order to make it digestible, since this is an encyclopedia and not a text book. Again, welcome to wikipedia and thank you for your contributions!—Mrand T-C 18:46, 17 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the warm welcome! CDR applications were one of the first topics in my work as an electronic circuit designer, when I started back in 1974. Since then, I always remained interested. As I noticed that Wikipedia lacks material on the subject, what has been added comes entirely from my personal notes, cumulated along the years. Nothing is really subject to any Copyright, although the only topic where I can claim some originality development is just the jitter acceptance function for a second order system. I have not found it in any article nor textbook. Maybe it is because it is not a transfer function in nature, but a man-made definition of performance.

I have been advised to turn my long contribution on CDR into a Wikibook. I think that I will follow that advice. Pierandrea Borgato 16:33, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Clock and data recovery/Noise interacts with the PLL

I think you meant the above for WIkibooks. I have moved it to User:BORGATO Pierandrea/sandbox. Note that wiki markup generally does not need <br/> tags all over the place. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:20, 27 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Continuous transmission mode

edit

The article Continuous transmission mode has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article has been flagged as unsourced for 13 years. Should redirect to a more general article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi Andrew! Thanks for your work and for spotting the runt of "Continuous transmission mode". It shall be deleted of course. A paragraph of this name is correctly present in the WikiBook "Clock and Data Recovery". Sorry for the inconvenience. Pierandrea. Pierandrea Borgato 13:41, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
