Croix de Guerre

edit

No I don't know of any such precedent, which is why I brought the article up for deletion rather than speedily deleting it. Thanks for the disambig notice too (that link didn't used to be one). howcheng {chat} 19:50, 26 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Reversion

edit

Thanks for your attention to vandalism in various places. The instance that drew my attention is your edit, mis-summarized as a reversion. My suggestion to you is to say "reverted" or "reversion" or "rv" or "rvv" only when you've used an admin "rollback" procedure, or emulated that process by calling up an old version from the history, and saved it without changes. (I think i describe changes like that one as "fixing back" such-and-such an aspect of the article.) Missing a change like "Just" to "No" is much less significant if you haven't "warranted" your change as matching the old version. (My catching it this quickly was luck: the title happened to make an impression on me when i edited a few days ago; even so, i had to dig for evidence that the change was vandalism rather than a correction of the title.) Thanks and hope you'll keep up your generally fine work.

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
