Welcome!
editWelcome to Wikipedia, Baddog144! I am FlyingToaster and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! FlyingToaster 07:54, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

Your rollback request
editHi! I regret that I must inform you that your request for the rollback permission has been denied. You can discover why by checking the archives at Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Denied/November 2008#baddog144. SoxBot X (talk) 12:00, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
Well spotted - I'm pretty sure it is a hoax: references that don't mention the subject and an SPA author are usually good indicators. I have taken it to AfD here. JohnCD (talk) 22:43, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
Going Well!
editHey there Baddog144. Just wanted to say that your edits are looking very good. You're developing a good eye for vandalism, and that's awesome to see. Please don't be discouraged by the rollback thing. Once you have more edits you'll be given it without any fail. Also, sorry I haven't been giving more feedback here. I've been a bit busy the past week or so, but I'll try and keep up here more. Please feel free to ask a question at any time on my talk page. - FlyingToaster 06:17, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Doing ok?
editHey Baddog. I know you've been gone for a bit, is everything ok with you? Please poke me if you need any help or want to do some vandalism practice ahead of requesting rollback again! FlyingToaster 23:52, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
Oh, yeah, look, I'm alright, just been incredibly busy with school and stuff. Holidays are coming up soon, so I'll be trying to get back into it then :) Baddog144 (talk) 06:44, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

Whether you have patrolled many pages or only a few, we now need to know about your experience. The survey takes only 6 minutes, and the information you provide will not be shared with third parties other than to assist us in analyzing the results of the survey; the WMF will not use the information to identify you.
Please click HERE to take part. You are receiving this invitation because you have patrolled new pages. For more information, please see NPP Survey |

New deal for page patrollers
editHi Baddog144,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
