Draft notes

edit

Hi Baileyryane, which article will the draft be added to? It looks like it's going to be to the Me Too movement, however the draft is heavily about another, separate movement, Not Guilty. An article should really only be about the main topic, which is the Me Too movement in specific, so something like this would be a topic to cover in a separate article. There aren't any true connections between the two groups other than they both deal with rape and use hashtags. I'm concerned that some of the ways you connect the two could be seen as original research. For example, in one section you discuss Kesha and Not Guilty, however the article you use doesn't mention Not Guilty at all. There are also concerns of tone, as the draft does read very favorably towards Not Guilty and the article needs to be neutrally written. It's not that the average person would disagree with raising awareness of sexual assaults, it's just that the article has to be neutral. As it's currently written the content would very likely be removed from the article under concerns of original research and tone.

My recommendation would be to work on the article's tone and instead turn the draft into an article on the Not Guilty movement. I am somewhat concerned about the movement's notability, but I don't think that it would really work in the main article for the Me Too movement. I will say, however, that it would be worthwhile to post on the Me Too article's talk page and ask about whether or not there should be a subsection that gives a very general overview of similar campaigns.
