Discussions in AFD

edit

I've moved your discussion directed towards me to my talk page. Like I posted, an AFD is not the place to hold a discussion with one contributor. I don't know what you can do to prove your identity, I'm not the one who accused you of being someone else. What I do recommend is that you contact the user on their own talk page and work it out with them. --TheKoG (talk|contribs) 13:55, 24 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

My answer is that it didn't belong on the AFD discussion page. I didn't know what those seemingly random letters were, it looked like gibberish a.k.a. nonsense. If you want to post that certificate then go ahead and post it on the user's talk page who accused you of being someone else, don't clutter up the AFD page with it. --TheKoG (talk|contribs) 12:50, 25 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

So, having said all of this (see above), you do not have a right to delete my certificate and call this nonsense, since
1) It is not your comment I responded to posting my certificate.
2) You have no idea how to prove someone identity on the Net, if another one is questioning it.

The "random letters" is my digital signature.
And you need to get used of it, because you are going to get one for yourself pretty soon.

RussArt.com

edit

Okay, I think the claim of notability there is pretty dubious but it's not totally missing, so I undeleted the article and listed it on WP:AFD so it can have further input. I'm quite confident this will end up being deleted, but hopefully you'll get some idea of what the process is like. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/RussArt.com. Interesting, I have never seen anyone just yet from so called Wikipedia administrators who does not hide their real identities...
What is it? Fear? Lack of confidence? Complex of inferiority?...

Just wanted to mention... I nominated RussArt.com for deletion as a gesture to be nice to you, so I advise you to adjust your attitude. It had been speedily deleted, you complained to me, and I agreed to overturn it and bring it to a wider venue. I didn't have to do that, but since you seemed to be interested in fairness on Wikipedia, I thought I would help demonstrate for you the processes we use. I have expressed my thankfullness to you already, right after you did it. Okay, I can do it again, here, - Thank You. It does not change my opinion, however about the reasons why people hide their identities, especially who have a power to decide. Yes, I am interested in fairness and not only in Wikipedia, this is a true statement and that's why I do not hide my identity. I develop/build/host/administer wiki sites myself and do not allow hidden identities there, one of them is public [1].

Bakhteiarov,

I moved your comments about the process of deletion (as opposed to the question of whether or not RussArt.com should be deleted) to the deletion discussion's talk page, since it was a periphal question.

If you disagree with Wikipedia's policies, the thing to do is not to just complain and whine -- instead, feel free to build consensus around changes to an existing policy, or to a new policy altogether. See more about this process at Wikipedia:How to create policy.

If you have any other questions, feel free to leave them on my talk page.

Vectro, you got a point. By the way, I have been trying to find a proper place for RussArt.com on ru.wikipedia.org and failed miserably. I do not know, what's the proper place for it, actually. It focuses on US, but the majority of the content is in Russian. I posted yesterday a link to RussArt.com on Russian Wikipedia, but there is no special place to post an article like List of online DVD rental companies. There I have been trying to find a similar to RussArt company with French content and got an idea to post an article about RussArt after I noticed some asian DVD rental site...--Bakhteiarov 12:54, 18 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
The rules are different on each Wikipedia, so it's true that even if RussArt.com is not notable on the English Wikipedia, it might be notable on the Russian Wikipedia. You'll have to create it there and see what happens, but the deletion discussion here might come into play over there, as well. If you want to add to the Russian wikipedia, you don't have to have a list to add it to; just create the article and then link to it from relevant pages, such as ru:Кинематограф. Note that accounts are also separate on different wikipedias, so if you don't want to show your IP address, you must create another account over there. Vectro, They were even more aggresive then here. Now, I undestand what actually Mangojuicetalk meant. I have not seen such mean admins, like the Russians there in my life.--Bakhteiarov 04:01, 19 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

List of online DVD rental companies

edit

You wrote: "Hello, would you, please, explain me why the RussArt.com has been deleted from the List of online DVD rental companies? It did not contain a link as, say TigerCinema, which was left in the List. What's the difference between these two companies in terms of notability? I would either restore RussArt entry or delete the whole list. Sincerely. --Bakhteiarov 03:13, 30 October 2006 (UTC)"Reply

It was deleted in error while removing the inline ext links. Sorry-- I have restored it. Cheers! -- Mwanner | Talk 03:27, 30 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Mikhail Kogan may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
