The article's sole source is the search page for the on-line archive of La Stampa. But the only mentions of rugby (or palla ovale) for 1933 in that archive are from February (not September) and address only the schedule for a competition in March (again, not September). I have no doubt that the University games were played in Turin that year, but the article doesn't provide any verification of its facts.
