editYou currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Dhunachi. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Do not POV push your own ananlysis into articles contravening sources. Beleiving that things restricted to Bengali Hindu culture are Indian and not Bengali is nothing but your personal POV. Discuss in the talk page and gain WP:CONSENSUS first. - @Fylindfotberserk can you proof that Dhunachi is Bengali origin it's unique to all the bengalis includes Buddhists, Christians and Muslims, and doesn't has origins in India and not used by non Bengali Hindus in India? I provided sources....and yes I did asked everyone but no one seems to answer? so you'll gonna ignore my knocks, my sources and my facts and then blame me? Banglardhonn (talk) 12:39, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
- I've added sources. Also your edits seem to have a Bengali Muslim bias, as in you have no problem using Bengali script and using the term "Bengali" for things restricted to Bengali Muslim only. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 12:41, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Fylindfotberserk If my edits were Bengali Muslim bias and Bengali Muslim bias only then wouldn't had contributed to articles related Bengali Hindu articles, your trying to blackmail me and trying to make look like something I'm completely not and I'm completely against bias edits and edits only for self promotion, I strive for reliable sourced edits and facts only! watch you words, would you. Banglardhonn (talk) 12:46, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
- Countering your own points - Do you have proof that the term "Dhunachi" is unique to all Indians across all regions and languages? Obviously not. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 12:46, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
- I've seen your edits, both as this ID and IPs and that old banned user of your (Shumon 169), you seem to use push Bengali in things that are Muslim only, or add 'Bengali Muslim' unnecessarily, but at the same time remove Hindus giving baseless reasons. Also, why would you change something which is restricted to Bengal region? Even if it is Hindu only? Bengali Muslims do not own the region, language or the culture. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 12:50, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Fylindfotberserk You might didn't noticed my contributions on articles like Navaratri, Durga Puja, Agamani, Sari, Diwali and similar articles related to Hindus. and where did I say that not only Muslims owns the region? you're not gaslighting the parts where even talked about Bengali Buddhists and christians, are you? you're the one who seems biased! Banglardhonn (talk) 12:59, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
- Why did you remove the Bengali script and changed 'Bengali' to 'Indian'? That thing is restricted to the Bengal region. And is sourced - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 13:02, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Fylindfotberserk as long as I remember, it was not sourced. and when edited it, I added sources. I answered your question now if you're responsible enough, would you answer my question why did you called Bengali Muslim biased without any clear evidence and seeing that I contributed to Hindu related articles? it's really offensive, really! Banglardhonn (talk) 13:08, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
- The stable version was this has sources in the ref section, before you changed it using your IP [1]. Besides you didn't put any new source in support of your changes both as the IP or as this ID, which mentions that the term "Dhunachi" is explicitly India. If you make changes to WP:STABLE version without providing sources, you'll get reverted, not to mention you are a suspected sock, so sock edits get reverted by default.
- As for your POV, in these IP edits of yours [2] [3], you are pushing the ethnolinguistic term (Bengalis) instead of the ethno-religious term (Bengali Muslims) the latter should be since the article is explicitly about "Bengali Muslims". Which gives a vibe that you want "Bengali" to be solely / largely represent "Bengali Muslims" despite teh fact that "Bengali Muslim wedding" has nothing to do with other communities of Bengal.
- ~ While in Dhunachi article, you removed Bengali script, and changed Bengali to Indian with edit summaries -
- First as IP [4] - "
Bengali" it's is something that comes from both Bangladesh and West Bengal and it's not something religous. Majority of bengalis are Muslims so something Hindu can't be a part Bengali culture if it's not secular
" - Second as this ID [5] "
Anything related to religion can't be named after "Bengal" or named as "Bengali" if it's not cultural. Majority of the bengalis are Muslims and it doesn't associate with anything cultural or secular to all bengalis. it's and Hindu tradition
" - -Means a Hindu concept from Bengal (Dhunachi) can't be Bengali since it is Hindu, but "Bengali Muslim wedding" which is strictly a Muslim affair largely restricted to Bangaldesh is a celebration for all Bengalis. Totally biased. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 13:38, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Fylindfotberserk • You are totally ignoring the fact that I also mentioned Bengali Buddhists and christians
- •If it's only from India, how can it be "Bengali". the sources I've been adding has said that originated in "East India" so it's not exclusive to just bengalis, but Odias , Assamese as well!
- • And yes I mentioned that the majority of bengalis are Muslims, so did you head of have proof that it's a part of the culture which Bengali Muslims, further, Bengali christians and Bengali Buddhists follows as well? and also that fact that it has nothing to do with Bangladesh, it has nothing to with Bengali Muslims, Bengali christians and Bengali Buddhist and Odias, Assamese, and other ethic group also widely used Dhunachi in East, North East and South India. that's the main point I wanted to highlight. you're totally taking it to completely different dimension. Banglardhonn (talk) 23:15, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
- You are beating around the bush. I've given clear evidence of your POV and your comments just above also support it. The sources are clear that it originated in Bengal and is part of Hindu Bengali culture, but you have a problem with it, but have no problem claiming affairs largely restricted to Bangladeshi Muslims as Bengali. "
If it's only from India, how can it be "Bengali
" - Being from Indian Bengal IS Bengali. Unless you have a problem understanding geography, you should know that Indian Bengal is part of the larger Bengal region. And FYI there are Hindu Bengalis in your Bangladesh and I've seen videos of them using Dhunachi in Durga Pujan over the internets. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:19, 9 October 2023 (UTC)- @Fylindfotberserk I've seen Odia people using too! Banglardhonn (talk) 10:27, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- The object's origin in Bengal region is sourced and the sources largely mention its use in Bengal. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:28, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Fylindfotberserk my sources mentioned it originated in Uttar Pradesh along with other East Indian regions, check the article in wikipedia Bengali! and it doesn't proof the fact the thrive for facts I would bias Bangladesh and Muslims over India and Hindus, everyone is equal. you're just keep brushing it off Banglardhonn (talk) 10:32, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Fylindfotberserk anyways let's end this here Banglardhonn (talk) 10:33, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
