The Genealogy of the Turkmens moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, The Genealogy of the Turkmens, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Disambiguation link notification for July 19
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Shajare-i Tarakime, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bozok (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:21, 19 July 2020 (UTC)

editYou currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Alans; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.--Ermenrich (talk) 14:55, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
Ermenrich. As you may have noticed, I am not engaged in any "edit war", I have made an edit in the article Alans with full compliance of Wikipedia rules citing reliable sources, which you through your personal opinion downgraded to Fringe, called it "nationalist non-sense" and removed it even though I provided additional scientific links to further support my statement. However, if you have more edit rights for this Article, then you go ahead and do whatever you like. I am done. - Bayram A.

editThe article had a similar picture from Commons earlier. It was deleted because Freedom of panorama, so it's fairly likely this one will be too, sooner or later. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 13:01, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
Why? This is my own photo, I am the author. In Turkmenistan we don't have laws limiting making pictures and posting them on the Internet of statues erected in public parks. This is absolutely legal Bayram A (talk) 05:23, 8 March 2021 (UTC)

editHello, Bayram A. I hope you are fine and staying safe. I noticed that you added an interesting content to the article "Turkmens", but currently it seems you forgot to provide a reliable source. So far so good, but I think it will be challenged soon by some editors who have shown interest in the article in the past. I advice to get your act together and include a citation as soon as possible. If you think you need help with this, I'll be glad to give you a hand. Feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --VisioncurveTimendi causa est nescire 04:18, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
Also, I'd like to inform you that the contents of Koroğlu, Gurughlu and Korughlu pages were merged into the "Epic of Koroghlu". I know you have been an active editor of that article down the years, therefore I'd like to draw your attention to the fact that, as you may already know, after this sort of actions, the merged pages need extensive copy-editing, polishing and re-structuring. Moreover, "Epic of Koroghlu" suffers from the lack of references, portions that are undoubtedly an original research and unspecified language problems for a handful of native words. To make a long story short, I invite you and have already invited a couple of other similar editors to go over that article with a fine-tooth comb and fix it all out. Thank you! Waiting for your response and help! --VisioncurveTimendi causa est nescire 06:49, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
- PS: I have already started re-structuring and copy-editing - 1. It begs more of that and a collective effort.
Bayram A (talk) 12:48, 22 April 2021 (UTC) Thanks man. I will provide the source for the Folk crafts chapter of the Turkmens article, which is "History-and-Cultural Heritage of Turkmenistan" Encyclopedic Dictionary. Will also help with the unified Epic of Koroghlu article Bayram A (talk) 12:48, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
Hi there. How are you doing, Bayram A? I believe you are very much aware that one of the articles that is in your sphere of interest (Magtymguly) is being nominated for GA. The first observations were made and the list of need-to-dos has been provided. Substantial efforts were made and tons of new information were added that you might want to check whenever you have spare time. These new additions beg objective revision and perhaps a little copy-editing to get that page qualified as a Good Article. Thank you, --VisioncurveTimendi causa est nescire 04:44, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
Bayram A (talk) 07:31, 30 April 2021 (UTC) Hi, Visioncurve. Thanks for letting me know about Magtymguly article. Just a question: why have you added Turkish pronunciation of Magtymguly's name. He was a Turkmen poet who lived in the Turkmen village which is now located in the Iranian territory. In Iran, he is considered as an Iranian poet of Turkmen origin. So, it's logical to mention his name in Turkmen and Persian languages. But Magtymguly was not Turkish or Ottoman, so why his name is given in Turkish too? With this logic, I can make changes in all articles about Turkish (Ottoman) people and add their names in the Turkmen language. Thanks for clarifying.Bayram A (talk) 07:31, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
Bayram A (talk) 07:31, 30 April 2021 (UTC) By the way, Visioncurve, are you Turkish yourself?Bayram A (talk) 07:31, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
- I consider the question on my national identity as completely irrelevant here, though I'll go on and answer it with no. Regarding adding certain names (in Turkish) of the renowned people of Turkic descent or similarly, historical states and places that have nothing to do with modern Republic of Turkey but are Turkic in a broad sense, that is primarily down to the fact that fortunately, or may be not, most of the information about them are found in Turkish in the internet. Therefore, it would be helpful for those people who are interested in digging deeper to know the Turkish name of the object of their interest to enable themselves to find them easily in the internet.
- PS: Still waiting for your feedback on Magtymguly. Notice that I have recently added couple of his poems in Turkmen. --VisioncurveTimendi causa est nescire 15:02, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
