Dorchester South railway station

edit

I see you have inserted the latest 12/13 usage figures. Are these figures correct and what is their source? The station seems busier than ever, yet the figures do not bear this out. Best regards, David J Johnson (talk) 17:45, 1 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi Jack, Thanks so much for the ref, which I completely missed - think I should lay down in a darkened room. I still find these figures odd and the explanation given in the data questionable, but who are we to argue? Best regards, David, David J Johnson (talk) 16:22, 2 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited River Stour, Dorset, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mere. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

When adding sourcing for tropical cyclone intensities listed by the NHC, please, please, PLEASE do not use the links that are updated at every advisory (i.e. https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/text/refresh/MIATCPAT1+shtml/081453.shtml) Go into the storm archive and choose the advisory you want to cite. I've had to deal with this problem a lot since I've joined the project and I would really appreciate if you would help me out here. Thanks!ChessEric (talk · contribs) 16:18, 8 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi ChessEric, thank you for bringing this to my attention; I didn't realise the links are updated at every advisory, I had thought they'd used new ones and will bear this in mind in the future. If I see someone else do it I'll point them in the right direction. Thank you! Bellminsterboy (talk) 16:40, 8 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your welcome! Glad I could help!ChessEric (talk · contribs) 16:42, 8 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi again ChessEric, I've updated the article lead for Delta using a reference from the storm's archive as requested, are you willing to let me know if I've done it right? Certainly never meant to cause problems for you :-) Bellminsterboy (talk) 22:24, 8 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Locusts (2005 television film)

edit

The article Locusts (2005 television film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Film appears to fail WP:NFILM

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Rotherham Minster

edit

Hi Bellminsterboy, as your reverting my photo on the minster page. if my photo is underexposed why not look for another suitable photo then one then one thats already used elsewhere for Rotherham? I'd choose one but don't want WP:EDITWARRING going on DragonofBatley (talk) 11:33, 21 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Why does it matter if it's already used? Believe me, I have looked, and am happy to continue doing so. But there is nothing wrong with making an article the very best that it can be, and photos come into that - if there's a photo that is better than the one being used, irrespective of if it's already used somewhere else in Wikipedia, it should be used. I'm happy to take suggestions too as to what photo to put there.11:36, 21 August 2022 (UTC) Bellminsterboy (talk) 11:36, 21 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
