Very clear lead paragraph that gives a background overview on the language. I would suggest adding more contents on the cultural background of the language, helping people who are not familiar with the Chinese culture to understand the context. By adding hyperlink to some of the terms explaining the phonology may also be helpful for increasing the comprehension to the article. Adding more information on the writing system can also be insightful.
