editHello, I'm RolandR. Your recent edit to the page Uri Davis appears to have added incorrect information, so I have removed it for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Do not ever alter the content of cited quotes, even if you disagree with them or believe that they should have said something different. The BBC quotes Davis as describing himself as ""a Palestinian Hebrew national of Jewish origin", and that is what we should quote himself as saying. RolandR (talk) 15:55, 14 February 2015 (UTC)
Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Uri Davis. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Please stop altering the content of direct quotes. RolandR (talk) 17:50, 15 February 2015 (UTC)

- Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or sock puppetry.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.

In my opinion you are misusing the Minor edit indication. Please don't overuse this in instances in which the edit might have some significance such as altering the meaning or the tone of an assertion. Thanks. Bus stop (talk) 12:44, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
Hi, in this edit you rearranged the cast of Jupiter Ascending without an obvious reason or justification, and this sort of thing tends to look like personal preference, which is discouraged. Per Template:Infobox television, cast is ordered by the credits on the poster's billing block. Additionally, please explain your edits by using edit summaries. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:11, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
Speaker
editHello, I've restored president to speaker at List of Speakers of the National Assembly of Slovenia. You're welcome to discuss the matter at the article's talk page. Doremo (talk) 03:05, 25 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. editYour addition to The Amazing World of Gumball (season 4) has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Diff: [1] I'm not sure what was confusing about the obvious embedded notes that you replaced, or the giant copyright warning at the top of the page that looks like this:
ADDITION OF COPYRIGHTED INFORMATION
Information cannot be copied directly from other sources, including official sources, unless these can be verified to be public domain or licensed compatibly with Wikipedia. All content must be written in original language to comply with Wikipedia's copyright policy. For more information see Wikipedia's copyright FAQ. |
Plot summaries may not be copied or even closely paraphrased from other sources like this or IMDb, etc. They must be written from scratch in your own words. You have a range of 100-200 words to work with per WP:TVPLOT. Note also that I have a very low tolerance for plagiarized material, and I will not hesitate to block you the next time you do this.
Lastly, please stop marking your edits as minor unless you are making an uncontroversial change as detailed here. Minor edits include typographical error fixes, the addition of wikilinks or other cosmetic changes, and the reversion of obvious vandalism. Since you have to go through the extra effort of ticking the "This is a minor edit" box, this should be an easy adjustment to make. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 06:33, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

editHello, I'm IagoQnsi. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Markus Persson seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. IagoQnsi (talk) 00:25, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
Commons and fair use
editHello. Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons have very strict rules about how images are handled. Movie posters are copyrighted, so they must be handled carefully. Please carefully review Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline. Since posters are used so often on Wikipedia, they have their own template, also: Template:Non-free poster. Copyrighted images generally cannot be uploaded to Commons. It's also important not to upload multiple copies of the exact same image. Images can be replaced if needed. Take a look at File:Regular_Show_the_Movie.jpg, which has the option to "upload a new version of this file", but remember that fair use images should not be any higher resolution than necessary. Again, take a close look at Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline. Thanks. Grayfell (talk) 19:34, 17 April 2016 (UTC)

editHi. I noticed that you reverted my rollback. See the talk page, the history of 190.181.202.83's contribution to the article and the Lisa Miskovsky page on Wikipedia in Swedish. -- Tegel (talk) 19:01, 24 November 2016 (UTC)

Sockpuppet investigation
editHi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Belson 303, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Disambiguation link notification for March 9
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Elorriaga (name), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Basque Country. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 06:08, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
