Wikidata page deleted

edit

Hi Bencemac, Thank you for bringing the spam/advertising issue to my attention. I am actually not trying to advertise or sell a product, I am just trying to improve the representation of female philosophers on Wikidata and Wikipedia (a similar project on female scientists was undertaken by Emily Temple-Wood and Rosie Stephenson-Goodknight for which they were both awarded Wikipedian of the Year in 2016). Can you give me some advice as to how I could describe my project on my Wikidata page so that it will not simply be deleted and dismissed as advertising? - DiotimaLives (talk) 22:04, 11 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

IPBE

edit

Hi Bencemac - if you could IPBE me on wikidata, that'd be fab. thx --Tagishsimon (talk) 08:21, 29 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Tagishsimon: Let me know that if you do not need the right anymore. Bencemac (talk) 08:23, 29 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
I will; but is there any issue with keeping it? I travel enough that it'd be a pain to keep losing an hour trying to get back into wikidata. --Tagishsimon (talk) 08:28, 29 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Then global block IP exemption is what you are searching. :) Local solutions are not the best if the problem is global, in my opinion. Bencemac (talk) 08:37, 29 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

DJ Felix

edit

I've declined your speedy deletion for DJ Felix, which you nominated for speedy deletion as db-madeup. Please review WP:CSD#A11: people are not eligible for speedy deletion under this criterion. Captain Calm (talk) 09:18, 26 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Dear Captain Calm, it's cross-wiki spam, already removed from hiwiki. Could you please spare me some time and remove it? Thanks in advance! Bencemac (talk) 09:37, 26 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
It's not eligible for speedy deletion on grounds of zero notability or spam, but you can take it to WP:AFD if you think he doesn't meet notability guidelines. Captain Calm (talk) 09:39, 26 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
