editThank you for uploading Image:Primaries.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

April 2008
editHi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --Bryan H Bell (talk) 07:53, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- One additional note. Type the four tildes immediately after your comments in the large edit box, not in the "Edit summary" box. Here's an example:
This is an example of a comment I'd type in the edit box, followed by the four tildes, which would turn into my signature after I save. ~~~~
- I hope this helps. --Bryan H Bell (talk) 20:05, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Minor edits
editHi Benjaminady. Thanks for all your contributions to the Washington Democratic caucuses, 2008 article! Looking at your edits to that article, I thought I'd point out an aspect of editing that you might not be aware of. I notice that you've been marking all your edits as "minor edits". Normally, you should only mark an edit as minor when it doesn't significantly alter the content of an article. For example, spelling fixes or adding italics can be marked as minor edits. An edit is marked as minor when you place a check mark in the "This is a minor edit" checkbox just above the "Save page" button. If the checkbox is already checked each time you edit, you may need to adjust your preferences (see Help:Preferences#Editing for instructions). For more information on when to mark edits as minor, see the article Help:Minor edit. --Bryan H Bell (talk) 18:01, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- Bryan, again I want to say thank you so much for all your ongoing help. As you can see I pretty much don't have a clue, but I'm learning. I shall start unchecking that "minor edit" box, until such a time as I can figure out how to change my preferences so as to not have it checked.
- Again-thank you.Benjaminady (talk) 06:16, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
- You're welcome. You can change this preference by clicking on the "my preferences" link at the upper-right corner of any page, then clicking on the "Editing" tab, then clearing the "Mark all edits minor by default" checkbox (8th checkbox from the top), and then clicking the "Save" button. --Bryan H Bell (talk) 07:46, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
